For the first time in my life the social norms that kept a lid on nationalist fascist racism; that reclaimed the flag; have stalled. The lack of actual vocal leadership for us to rally around - for the pro-democracy, pro-rule of law, anti-violent, majority - is now becoming an existential problem.

The difference between the scrutiny is astonishing. The BBC trying to over-correct are now actively championing a Reform Government. Good luck BBC when you get your wish.

I don’t know what this party is. It certainly doesn’t uphold any of the values that had me, perhaps naively, door knocking for them last year. It’s one thing to be asleep at the wheel. It’s quite another to take issue with practicalities of mass deportation rather than treating it as a moral issue

No10 spokesman not prepared to criticise anything about Farage speech today. Not his description of "invasion", not his prediction that the UK on brink of civil war, not plans to pay the Taliban or Iran to take back migrants, or indeed to rule out doing so themselves.

The laziness and implied bias of the BBC here is extreme - "No 10 did not comment" presumably because the CPS and courts are independent, but there's no attempt to find anyone who would argue the opposite view, just the unchallenged whine of someone who called for asylum seekers to be burnt to death
