And they have radicalized each other while sidelining or removing the remaining decent execs in the industry.

Everything laid out in Project 2025 was talked about openly as far back as 2010, and amplified by big VCs as far back as 2014, but most big CEOs didn’t start to fall in line until 2017 or so. By 2020, they pushed out most execs who didn’t agree with (or at least silently accept) this thinking.

It’s worse than this. Having been in the room with many of them (long ago, before I knew they were psychopaths), the tycoons who are left running the industry have an active contempt for ordinary people, including their own workers. They actively want to oppress, control and punish them.

People who want to create the category “Profound Autism” beleive that the Support that *doesn’t* *exist* for any of any disabled people will magically pop into existance specifically for “Profoundly Autistic” people when they “officially” create that name.

I can't count the number of times I received advice to create a behavioral management plan for my daughter. Seeing Airbnb pop up due to (waves arms) stuff and I think the reason I never liked it (other than the sleazy way they display pricing) is that the hosts tend to either want to be your friend or your boss and... I don't want that level of intimacy in a short term stay, thank you very much.

I get this too, in different context. My shorthand for it is "bad feng shui" and it hits in places like bus stops, which means I have to walk to another, better stop.
