as a irish person who has hated ed for years because of his terrible british nice boy shtich, him presenting as culturally "irish" right up until the point it involves showing any level of empathy to an oppressed people and getting called a shitehawk by all of his peers is extremely satisfying
Irish acts Aaron Rowe and Beoga, and Finneas have said that they would withdraw from Ed Sheeran’s tour. apnews.com/article/ed-s...
say what you will about fortnite its the only game where you can shoot harry potter with a rifle
well, whoever art passed it for TF2 definitely has some energy going on, idk
The chapters are really short though so it’s like watching a bunch of whaling tiktoks
I fucking love the internet
Did you know there's a "utopian scholastic" genre tag on Bandcamp that's all like synthy soundtracks from educational software and TV shows from the early '90s? (I want to make a joke about calling this "Encartacore", but I don't remember if Encarta had music.) trndytrndy.bandcamp.com/album/virtua
This is how I know when people have given themselves up to the entertainment system and have no real friends anymore. Same thing keeps happening with artists and celebs announcing how they're dabbling in AI now
Ed shoulda checked in with all these Irish guys he'd been on tour with before he put out that "I am not complicit" statement because they definitely could have told him how that was gonna play.
(meaning: a demonstration of wealth brute forcing technical achievements, impressive in the sense that having a lot of money is impressive)
Always worth being reminded that Kids These Days/This New Generation is Cooked lamentations are as old as humanity. Probably older.
in 1627 someone published a text called 'Woe to Drunkards' with an honest to goodness Chad knight vs. Virgin fop meme
does being in the same folder mean the gay sex games balls are touching
for game design, I think technical constraints are mostly good for creativity. you react to the brick wall and figure out how to wall jump. the wall is a tool

*Mr Beast voice* I HELPED THIS WOMAN TURN A ROOM FULL OF STRAW INTO GOLD USING ONLY A SPINNING WHEEL! IF SHE CAN'T GUESS MY NAME IN THREE DAYS, I'M TAKING HER BABY!
watched The Night of the Hunter for the first time… slow start but then it gets good, so many amazing shots, can’t believe it’s from 1955
this is so kind, thank you. I love that people are still reading RP 💫 (people still tell me so at parties etc which is obviously very gratifying!!)
2018's Revolting Prostitutes by Juno Mac & Molly Smith (@pastachips.bsky.social) is still one of the best books on sex worker activism ever written www.versobooks.com/products/548...
when you make a surprisingly good meal that uses up all the leftovers, you should get some kind of bonus in real-life. maybe quad damage

Just thinking about this again, for no reason.
it is draining to constantly learn the extent meritocracy is a lie
this is the part of AI that I don’t get. For anything more complicated than “write a bit of work nonsense that you can read back”, what’s the point of something where you can’t test the accuracy?
I think there's a more abstract higher level point that some Infosec people have failed to say outright though: Computers that unpredictably refuse to do what their users have instructed them to do are in many less predictable ways, more dangerous than computers which behave as specified.
I think the main art lesson is how much they push atmospherics / light shafts / vertical fog gradient cards
Working with Luke and Sam on this music has been an absolute pleasure. There's ~2 hours of brand new music in Big Walk, and it is all (in our opinion) extremely, extremely good.
Before Berlin Pride was targeted by a horrific vehicle attack yesterday, there were numerous incidents of police brutalising participants in peaceful Pride demonstrations
It is wild how 1-3 times per week there'll be a new raft of videos of an incident in which German police *viciously* beat demonstrators - like, holding them on the ground as they punch them repeatedly in the face - and nothing ever changes, and most people inside or out of Germany seem to be unaware
Thread of amazing signs from yesterday's London Trans Pride 2026
