Reading poor Robin Ince's account of being hounded out of work by anti trans wankers. To a much lesser extent I remember something similar. There is a fury, a hatred among these people. They don't stop. Their assiduous delight in hounding Jason Arday is what happens when there aren't consequences.

observer editor: so what are you writing about this week? sonia sodha: i’m going to write about how it’s all the trans’s fault! observer editor: sorry, what’s the trans’s fault? sonia sodha: [already typing] i’ll work that out as I go!

Honestly, what level of self-reflection do you expect from a section of the English media so racist that it didn’t want *Jude Bellingham* to go to the World Cup?

I see people lying every day - fearmongering about immigrants, trans people, disabled people, benefit claimants. Do they get hounded to death? No, they get cushy jobs at the Mail, Telegraph, Sun, Times and Express. So spare me the pretending that the press actually give a solitary shit about lying.

Welcome to "stealth delete or double down" day from our wonderful free press. Not a contrition will be shown, not a chance to learn or stop happening again next time will be taken, not a consequence will be had.

I think it's bad that the UK press can escalate what is essentially a workplace matter into national news ahead of the fucking country being on fire and then get away with hounding their victim until they die.

Jason Arday being found dead is a horrendous way for the story to end. Elements of the press and wider media are who were relentless in their pursuit won’t stop for a moment to consider how brutal that attention was.

Its been over half an hour since the alert, and its cloudy here, and I still haven't set anything on fire. Before I was told not to, I still hadn't set anything on fire.
