I scan and archive various things for the sake of preservation, and for people to see! Loud Reposter. Dm me if you want to donate anything to scan!

I don't care if it's an FPGA console, a DAC, an upscaler, a flash cart, or even a fancy mod. If the people behind it suck, then don't buy into it! Plain and simple. Their is no ifs, ands, or buts about it (unless you didn't know about the connection prior, then that can be forgiven if you repent).

I am very proud to announce that our English translation patch of London Spirit Detectives is now done and released on GitHub. Thanks to aishsha, bigbanana23, Cash Ogawa, Pennywise, Ryusui, TheMajinZenki and vervalkon What a wonderful project! See reply for details.

Somebody asked me on Reddit why people who use AI to generate Recomp projects are currently being rejected from the communities and what they can do to fix this. I might tweak parts of this to be a more general blog post at some point, but this should be of help to anyone in a similar situation.

there's some weird deeply psychological thing with these people who, despite being clearly not wanted from a place, obsess over it. they have been denied something, and that is in actuality the greatest possible crime

With today being the actual day "There Will Come Soft Rains" by Ray Bradbury takes place, I was going to share the haunting Soviet adaptation – only to find that version takes place later this year on December 31. That should be a fun way to welcome the new year.

Excerpt from the beginning of There Will Come Soft Rains by Ray Bradbury which contains the line "Today is August 4, 2026"Screenshot from the 1984 Uzbek animated adaptation of "There Will Come Soft Rains." A crucifix hangs on the wall next to a calendar that reads 31-12-2026.

One of the Dreamcast's strangest tiles is finally breaking its language barrier. deSPIRIA, Atlus' surreal horror RPG released only in Japan, but now its first chapter is available in English thanks to the work of rio de popomocco and their team. Info: www.thedreamcastjunkyard.co.uk/2026/08/atlu...

After four days of bruteforcing and spending over $900, the FULL version of FFVII Dirge of Cerberus Lost Episode has been preserved by @yuvi.app! The game's SD card data, which it fully relies on, remained encrypted until now. Despite being 9MB, the game contains cutscenes and voice acting.

www.gofundme.com/f/fund-expen... Hey! We have the last Aerosmith: Quest For Fame in the world. We're trying to crowdfund to cover the expenses to preserve it. This is a unique piece of rhythm game history, and we plan to place it in a public arcade! Any support would be wildly appreciated!

Also, according to the notes on the GitHub page: "No generative AI or LLMs have touched, nor will touch, any part of this translation project. All code for my custom tools, all ASM hacks, all graphics edits, and particularly the translated script, were created manually." 💖

I'm trembling while writing this: Kamaitachi no yoru—not the PC remake, not the iOS port, but the actual original SFC version—has been translated at last by ButThouMust, who graciously brought us an English patch for Otogirisou in the past. This is HISTORICAL.
