Leftie bloodless quant.

reneweconomy.com.au/hot-bricks-h... Great news today in the thermal energy storage front, and I'm really looking forward to following this one. Industrial decarb mostly means solar -> process heat, and that heat needs to be storable at low cost. Hot rocks in a box look simple enough to do this!

There are so, so many verified diaries of white Union soldiers at the beginning of the war saying "I don't know about this, I condemn the deplorable violence" and then they get down there and see slavery with their own eyes and immediately go "John Brown was right we gotta kill these motherfuckers"

And we can certainly condemn his violence. But let’s step back and remember just how horrible slavery was. On December 20, 1858, Brown, who had briefly returned to Kansas, led a party into Missouri to free slaves.

SCOOP: 'Tommy' from the now-viral exchange with Abdul El-Sayed is Thomas Teepell, a former staffer for Republican Senator Josh Hawley with close ties to Christian Nationalist Sean Feucht. He's the son of a former Bobby Jindal staffer whose consultant work was instrumental in getting Hawley elected.

He's also ruined "grok," using it as he does for an LLM that fundamentally fails, on multiple levels, the entire concept of "grokking." But this is the Billionaire Way, naming shit for things in their favorite books in ways that the original authors would likely look on in horror

It pains me to see a good man's named destroyed this way. Nicola Tesla was a great engineer despite being eccentric. MuskRat doesn't deserve the use of his name.
