from a sullivan county commission meeting in tennessee a couple days ago about renewing their flock contract "Quite frankly sir, I don't think we can make America great again without hanging your CEO publicly for treason. Your company is an enemy of the American people"

Yeah did you know this shit? Basically every time, folks made more money posting their stuff on Cohost than anywhere else. I heard this about art, music, and saw it myself with games - itch tells you where your sales clicks came from and cohost was Overrepresented. Community isn't about numbers

PROBABLY fake in a literal sense, but also EMOTIONALLY fake. Artists made more money on cohost. Some special interests are still on forums. Some people survive off fucking MAILING LISTS somehow. Reach is only useful if it reaches something you want. Views only matter if they're meaningful.

This is one of those quotes that is going to be taught in media training and other places as an example of what NOT to say. Incredible stuff. Appreciate the honesty, though! Nobody wants this shit, so we have to force it down your throats.

"If it was opt in, nobody would opt in," admitted the streaming site's chief product officer. This happened during a livestream earlier today focused on addressing the controversial decision to force users to opt out of Amazon using Twitch content to train its AI models and tech.

"Indies will save us" No! YOU WILL SAVE INDIES! Go leave a review for that neat indie game you like, share the trailer for an upcoming game you're anticipating, tell your fave developer they did a good job, go tell people about such and such game that's just come out, you can make a difference!

if you are any kind of creative or artist or writer you *have* to understand sex workers and porn/erotica artists/authors as being members of the same class as us. to the extent society recognizes a difference between "legitimate" art and porn, it's only as a tenuous, convenient, temporary fiction.

I’m seeing way too many tertiary chud weirdos getting platformed here by screenshot posters. I don’t need to know what’s going on over there. Make your world bigger. Take a walk. Eat a mango. Call that friend you’ve been missing.
