Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt was booed throughout this commencement speech at the University of Arizona for his praise of AI. This comes just a week after another commencement speaker who mentioned AI was booed at a school in Florida. Read more: www.404media.co/ucf-ai-comme...
We have published the following update to our article following an email response from the New York Times. Trans News Network has a policy against platforming bigotry. As such, we have declined to publish the Times' statement which included blatant transphobia.
In this in-depth interview Billie Jean Sweeney — a former editor at The New York Times — details how the paper shifted towards openly promoting anti-trans hatred, why this was directed from the very top, how some staff pushed back and the immense damage done by the NYT legitimizing bigotry.
step 1) implement sanctions preventing most of the world from doing business with Venezuela’s state oil company, forcing them to primarily do business with U.S. rivals step 2) use “mostly sells oil to U.S. rivals” as justification to take the oil for yourself

MIT’s NANDA initiative found that 95% of generative AI deployments fail after interviewing 150 execs, surveying 350 workers, and analyzing 300 projects. The real “productivity gains” seem to come from layoffs and squeezing more work from fewer people not AI.
MIT report: 95% of generative AI pilots at companies are failing
There’s a stark difference in success rates between companies that purchase AI tools from vendors and those that build them internally.

All I know is whenever I take oral progesterone and boof progesterone at the same time my body takes a screenshot
Socialization theory has been so utterly mangled that people don't fundamentally understanding it's not Girl or Boy Programming, it's absorbing the dominant cultural values we grow up with. If you grow up in a patriarchal society, you are socialized patriarchal.
My spicy socialization take is that we mostly use the phrase "female socialization" to refer to raising someone to be a people-pleaser so they don't get hit, and as people constantly at risk of getting hit, trans femmes receive it as much as anyone else
*Watching cis people finally start to realize that the OU essay was just the opening move of a scam for fame, targeting a trans gal, and was intentionally, deliberately bad to force the TA to fail it* *Sigh* Well, y'all are a little late, but I'm glad you made it.
You are safe to clock me. I'd actually hate it if another trans person noticed that I was trans and decided *not* to talk to me for that reason. I want my people to notice me. Reskeet this if you're proudly and gladly clocked.

The for-credit lessons included a Moms for Liberty-sponsored panel as well as a lecture from a renowned anti-trans activist on how to politically organize against “gender ideology.”

You can love someone you love even if you don't love yourself🏳️⚧️ But if you love yourself, you can love both yourself and the person you love. Your love becomes twofold. So take care of yourself. Your soul is beautiful.
Since the election, Yoshi laid eggs, and he and Birdo co-incubated and raised their children. Yoshi’s first-hand experience doing reproductive labor has radicalized him into an anarcha-feminist-socialist. Birdo has continued her studies of communism and is now an anti-revisionist Marxist-Leninist.
Yoshi is a liberal trans rights respecter who voted to protect his GF’s rights but Birdo stayed at home because she was brainwashed by communist propaganda.
Chiitan has a dream. I hope that one day the term LGBT will become a thing of the past. I will continue to spread my message until we live in a world where everyone can love freely and is free from persecution and discrimination. Until then, let's all support each other🤍
There’s a synthesis here, where trans people were largely shut out of media coverage where persuasion is the name of the game, and thus most people would interact with community arguments through Twitter/other social media, which will tend to boost people uninterested in persuasion
I appreciate the cis women who’ve signed this (tho not holding my breath it will accomplish anything) *Also* found myself scratching my head over the choices by whoever wrote the text (1: maybe including “cis” in the title would bury it in the algorithm? 2: funny coincidence unrelated to “trans*”)
This is just one of the many heartfelt messages from women who’ve signed the ‘Not In Our Name’ letter. If you believe in fairness, dignity, and standing alongside others, we’d love for you to read our letter and consider adding your name. ✍️ change.org/nion_women #NIONWomen #NotInOurName
what's tragic is that twenty-five years ago the community faultlines were in exactly the same places they are now. we just had slightly different words for it all.
The idea that "old trans people were all reactionary and pro-gatekeeping" is mostly a myth made by younger generation who don't want to interact with older people and reassure themselves by telling they are a lot better than the older one
my soul left my body watching the fox news feed glitching out as the tanks roll past the president’s observation stand and the announcer’s voice echoes across the mostly empty streets, “special thanks to our sponsor, palantir”
