A few days ago, Shaimaa and her baby narrowly escaped a fire that destroyed their tent and all their belongings. Now, they are homeless and living on the street; she needs $300 to buy food and a tent. Please do not abandon her—she needs your help after losing everything🙏 chuffed.org/project/1730...

Selfie of Shaimaa wearing a black hijab, looking worn out, leaning her head on her right hand.A fire in the night: silhouettes of people gathering to watch the flames and the smoke. The aftermath of a fire: dust, ashes, mud and water where a tent used to be, surrounded by burnt belongings in cardboard boxes.

Ooof fucking course it won't include disabled people under 65, because showing empathy and concern towards us would be inconceivable. 🤬 I don't personally need care services yet but abandoning a third of the people using the adult care system purely for not being pension-age is so morally bankrupt.

Disability doesn’t care how old you are. Specialist food is no cheaper if you’re 19. Employers don’t lose their prejudice if you’re 21. This is blatant intergenerational inequality from Labour. Younger disabled people of all severities deserve better. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

I somehow managed to get my NHS flu jab and private COVID jab on the same day, at the same pharmacy and 5 minutes apart. They had to be booked on two different websites simultaneously. I fear I will never top this achievement, it's all downhill from here.

It’d be cool, when reporting on a blind visitor suing over lack of access to the Bayeaux Tapestry, the supposed journalist could make it clear that this isn’t at all a ridiculous request. In fact, it’s completely in line with Equality Act 2010. Museums have provided audio forever.

For 9 years this cat has attempted to get me to feed him at 4 am every day and for 9 years he has not succeeded one time and his only takeaway has been well it's certainly not happening if I don't try again, and I'm starting to find him quite inspirational

I just moved a pillow on my bed and found a giant house spider chilling underneath it! That's too far giant house spiders, too far! To think I save you from the cats and vacuum cleaner.
