My sister has moved house so I told her she needs to update her details on the electoral roll because same day registration is no longer possible. She had no idea about the changes. Will there be an advertising campaign? Otherwise people won't know and will be turned away on election day. #nzpol

I raised this with Helen White, one of Labour's reps on the select committee, who was unconcerned, said reducing the number of submissions was good because it means less reading and there was nothing she could do even if she wanted to. No concern at all for the people whose voices won't be heard.

What’s going on with all these gender bill submissions being rejected?

With over 40,000 public submissions made on the definition of a woman and man bill, questions remain over the number of rejections.

Great to see that National support 30 weeks Paid Parental Leave. Especially after they voted against the introduction of PPL. Blocked the extension to 26 weeks for several years. Canceled 33 pay equity claims. And just this year, cut Best Start payments for the majority of new parents.

I have direct personal experience of stalking and harassment by Young Nats. I’m not the only one. So do, please, tell me more about the years of work you and your party put into this legislation, Christopher. Or did you just coat-tail on the work of far better people, from the left? #nzpol

Christchurch students turned a Christopher Luxon lookalike competition into a voter enrolment drive while poking fun at the Government. One contestant even shaved off his moustache for the crown. Read more on thepress.co.nz

I guess the inevitable conclusion for not taxing the rich & allowing billionaires to exist (they shouldn't) is that Heinz's Dilemma (Kohlberg's stages of Moral Development) isn't applied to a high end life saving drugs, but *checks notes* FOOD. Fucking food. We gotta reset this shit NOW

Private equity funds control more than $9.4 trillion in assets, including 11,500 companies that employ more than 11 million American workers. It is one of the most ruthlessly extractive, corrosive forces in modern history, so why does hating it feel like such a niche grievance?

Fueled by private equity investments, Lucky Strike Entertainment went on a buying spree and now owns more than 1 in 10 bowling alleys in the U.S. Bowlers say rising costs are making the middle-class activity unaffordable. NBC News’ Shannon Pettypiece reports from Wichita, Kansas.

The ‘Middle’ New Zealand voter is fundamentally GREEN at their soul. We would not still exist if they weren’t. Our challenge is communicating that to the weary & I recommend doing so authentically. 💚🕊️ #nzpol #NZ
