If they actually do this I will give them the minimal credit they deserve. A feather weighed against the mass of lead that represents their actions to support the genocide so far.
Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband is expected to announce tomorrow a comprehensive ban on UK trade with the illegal Israeli settlement enterprise in illegally-occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank. It's reportedly to include a ban on trading services, including British investment in settlements.

I did the post again because I screwed it up but I didn't delete the first one, that's just what you have to do.

BUFFO (1982) Acrylic on Watercolor Board - 32" X 22" Reading a novel by M. John Harrison always leaves me with the feeling that I've experienced some vivid, chaotic dream full of important but indecipherable symbols and images. 1/3
"Women say that they don't like it when men do this thing that manosphere influencers tell them to do." Guess what? These dudes are more interested in being in the cohort of manosphere influencers than they are in being in a relationship with a woman. Sucks to suck.

When I lived in the UK none of my concerns e.g. affordable housing, climate action, increases in welfare spending, scrapping tuition fees, an ethical foreign policy, were ever framed as legitimate concerns. lnstead I was routinely told to fuck off by most political parties for having such concerns.
Important to recognise that "legitimate concerns" is performative, not descriptive. People are not saying "you are justified in being concerned about this real problem." They are saying "these are the things we are prepared to treat as legitimate."

“It is very appalling and sometimes quite frightening to see how trans-exclusionary feminists have allied with rightwing attacks on gender” Today is exactly 5 years since @theguardian.com censored the words of non-binary academic, Judith Butler. These are the censored words. Still valid now.
I've replaced 6music with KEXP. I can't have a decent music station interrupted with talking points about why I must stop existing every half hour.
BBC 6 news putting a nazi talking head on the news to explain why he wants to drown immigrants.
The UK government agrees with the aims and ideologies of the fascists who are attacking racialised minorities. Their disagreement is that they think the state should be trusted to attack racialised minorities using the proper legal channels.
This is where Labour Together's strategy of repeatedly telling the far-right that they have "legitimate concerns" leads. Can we end the facile pretence that the people in Dover have anything meaningful to contribute to political life and call them what they are: violent racists.
thank you The New York Post for what may be the funniest image of all time
Rob Sheffield in @rollingstone.com and: correct. Chase down all the limited edition overpriced vinyl reissues you want, I’m chilling at the CD dollar bins and buying native digital via Bandcamp et al and thriving and then some. Paywalled but you get the gist.

Young audiences are listening to more CDs these days. That's because those shiny, Nineties-coded discs are the best invention ever for deep listening

Went for a walk and found a shortcut in my neighbourhood that I hadn't known about before, although environmental evidence suggests that if I try to use it at the wrong time I will have to get past numerous people drinking Carling.
rejecting AI isn’t a failure to prepare children for an “inevitable” future, it’s a vital statement of belief in our agency to chose a future for them, rather than letting it be dictated to us by a small group of the richest men, who are increasingly - I wish this was just hyperbole - openly fascist
I am so pleased we have Daniel Susskind writing for us today about LLMs, parenting and learning (and not just because he mentions my little project PlotLines). It’s essential we have informed, balanced dialogues about GenAI’s strengths and weaknesses www.theguardian.com/technology/2...
The constant struggle, right? I too could be rich if I was just willing to hurt a bunch of people.

Despite his boatload of issues I feel James Cameron would agree with Taro Yoko that the question of whether a human can learn to be human is still up in the air.
