This episode of "Today" desperately needs a historian of policing, to explain why things like anti-racism training were introduced in the first place. This wasn't some departure from a world in which the police treated everyone the same. It was an attempt to bring that world fractionally closer.

It would take about 30 seconds to remind news audiences of the basic facts of the Stephen Lawrence case

Every crime in which an ethnic or cultural minority is the perpetrator used to justify repression or worse of minorities. Every crime in which a minority is the victim used to argue for the idea that ethnic diversity is inherently unstable and should be reduced or eradicated.

In his white lives matter address, Nigel Farage calls George Floyd a career criminal and says "the rights and privileges of white people matter less than those of ethnic minorities" in Britain

I wish Palace well tonight, but one thing: whatever TNT/HBO thinks, they're not wearing "Palace For Life" jerseys because they're a lovely club supporting a good cause, but because their actual sponsor, NET88, is an illegal Asian sports betting company and cannot be advertised in a UEFA competition.

Reform want to deport our neighbours, destroy families, shatter lives, ruin local economies, screw public services and make the UK an international pariah. News broadcasters do not think this is worth covering. It is not impartiality, it is meek compliance with the far-right and it is wrong.

What matters more: 1. An old man, out of politics for 20 years, has opinions? 2. The party leading the polls and potentially set to form the next government is promising to deport hundreds of thousands of people settled in the UK entirely legally? That our broadcast media has chosen 1 is sickening.

Hull have expressed concern as their playoff final preparations have been focused on playing Southampton and they now have limited time to prepare for Middlesbrough instead. However, Southampton have kindly offered them a detailed dossier on Middlesbrough they just happened to have lying around.
