The Rockies did, as well, after Eddings claimed Hunter Goodman asked for Rincon to fix his hat, something Goodman strongly denied.
not lost on a lot of us that someone got ejected from a game because of a hat that wasn’t violating any MLB rules while multiple Giants earlier this year did violate written MLB rules pertaining to uniforms and were allowed to stay in the game (and received zero discipline from the league later)

like the reason Dolly feels like an exceptional human being is because all the things we're talking about today in her lifetime of philanthropy trace back to just .... having empathy and we live in the era of "I Don't Know How to Explain to You That You Should Care About Other People"
the thing is like public health child literacy civil rights social justice rural poverty once you personally have become rich and successful, those things only matter if you still have the capacity to care deeply about people outside your immediate circle and that is harder than becoming rich

okie (they/them)@okie.gay · 2w agoTexas’s drag ban was found to be unconstitutional this morning and one of the plaintiffs who brought the suit was an Austin-based drag queen who often impersonates Dolly Dolly was named in the final judgement itself and after hearing about the lawsuit, she sent that drag queen a signed guitar
We’re not in the habit of recognizing celebrity deaths here at 925. That said, Dolly Parton is a national treasure and some folks here joke that Dolly is our Locals patron saint. After all her song “9 to 5” is our anthem. Today we remember all the love and kindness Dolly brought the world.
In my family, there is an adage that when evil people refuse to die, it's because God doesn't want 'em and the devil's afraid of 'em.
