Is everyone aware of the General Motors streetcar conspiracy? In the mid-20th century, auto and oil interests bought up electric streetcar systems across the US and systematically replaced them with bus routes and paved roads, funneling commuters toward private cars.

A very serious Rural Politico once told me "Dems have to go to farmer meetings! We gotta be where the people are!" I was in fact in a farmer meeting at that very moment! So I live-texted him the meeting. They were complaining that they want indentured workers that they don't have to pay or feed.

Inflation adjusted lifetime revenue stream. Pretty good deal. Time to raise the earnings cap and properly fund it.

Another common complaint is the lack of public lands. Most Californians don't understand how rare the amount of hiking trails, public river-front, etc we have is.

Folks seem surprised that Trump would lie about election interference while simultaneously releasing documents that prove he was lying. When you have followers who will regurgitate whatever you say regardless of the evidence, the truth doesn’t actually matter.
