The TERF movement has been going for decades and the GC movement has been funded by multiple billionaires for over a decade and they STILL haven't come up with a biological definition of female that includes all cis women and excludes all trans women. Maybe that alone should tell you something

Honestly, the cloying desperation to find a perfect definition that will exclude trans women from legible, legitimate womanhood has in and of itself demonstrated (almost as well as any materialist feminist can) that sex is social, mutable, and a regime of violent policing.

Yesterday the NHS banned all under 18 prescriptions of HRT for trans young people. This ban was justified by 10 new studies that largely stated NO EVIDENCE for under 18s HRT exists. The study underpinning this played one particular trick. Let's briefly look at how the NHS rigged the game 1/5

Trans healthcare needs to be led by trans people, to be accountable to trans communities and trans youth. Folks who don't believe in the existence of a trans child cannot continue to hold the reins of healthcare policy and governance. This is where we start.

Their "student experience" was adversely affected by the pandemic emergency? Everyone's fucking life experience was adversely affected, and millions died. The rhetoric of this being a customer service dispute is offensive.

The people who came to Brianna's vigil were the many friends, as an isolated trans girl, she had made on social media. The people who were convicted of her murder knew her in real life, and used transphobic slurs to discuss her.

Solidarity with my colleagues who are experiencing this - as the leaflets we handed out to students on the picket lines said - when you go on strike you lose your wage because you stop working. It's ridiculous to have to make up the work you've already lost pay for 😡

Well that’s me locked out. No pay for the foreseeable future, all because I refuse to reschedule lost teaching, for which I have already lost pay as part of the strike. Please donate to support @sheffielducu.bsky.social members like me at www.gofundme.com/f/heubvb-sup...

Screenshot of email that reads: “This status will remain in place until the University receives notification that you are no longer participating in that action. During this period, any work undertaken will be regarded as voluntary.”

Kathleen Stock has written an article against "abortion permissiveness". She claims abortion requires "justification" saying the state should limit "unacceptable decision-making" by women about their own bodies. This is who anti-trans activists proclaim as the feminist thought leaders of our time.

What progressives won’t say about abortion
The sanitised narrative ignores ethical truths

The message on IG from Alice (posted by her friend Sandy Ho). As always, Alice blazes a path for the rest of us, fearlessly & with humor: "I'm honored to be your ancestor & believe disabled oracles like us will light the way to the future. Don't let the bastards grind you down. I love you all."

Yellow background with black text "This is Alice's friend Sandy Ho, posting. Per Alice's wishes, this message is being shared at the time of her passing. Hi everyone, it looks like I ran out of time. I have so many dreams that I wanted to fulfill and plans to create new stories for you. There are a few in progress that might come to fruition in a few years if things work out. I did not ever imagine I would live to this age and end up a writer, editor, activist, and more. As a kid riddled with insecurity and internalized ableism, I could not see a path forward. It was thanks to friendships and some great teachers who believed in me that I was able to fight my way out of miserable situations into a place where I finally felt comfortable in my skin. We need more stories about us and our culture. You all, we all, deserve the everything and more in such a hostile, ableist environment. Our wisdom is incisive and unflinching. I'm honored to be your ancestor and believe disabled oracles like us will light the way to the future. Don't let the bastards grind you down. I love you all."

Solidarity with SHU UCU on strike. I’m on a research project based there just now and the loss of so many Professional Services staff is acutely noticeable. It’s inexplicable to treat a sector that brings so much to the UK as disposable and its staff as if they aren’t people. Stop it.

It is the second time this year members of the University and College Union (UCU) at Sheffield Hallam have taken action.... Bob Jeffery... [UCU Sheffield Hallam], said: "Massive cuts have been pushed through, so we've lost about 1,000 staff in the last two years."'

Been having a pretty grim mental health time, but was at least reassured to see an old faded rainbow zebra crossing to welcome all the mad queers into the psych assessment unit (regrets at not taking a photo)

The man in the queue behind me said Oh excuse me miss, you dropped ---- and then we both stared at the conker I'd dropped on the ground And he said Umm --- And I said Oh! My conker! :(
