Every time you use genAI, you're supporting an ongoing genocide in Congo. Earlier this year, the US and UAE (which is, with our help, also committing genocide in Sudan) created a paramilitary force to ensure the flow of cobalt and rare earth minerals extracted by child slaves to create GPUs.

Congo Plans Paramilitary Unit for Mines with US, UAE Funding

The Democratic Republic of Congo will create a paramilitary unit to police its mines with funding from the US and the United Arab Emirates, the country’s General Inspectorate of Mines said.

The social internet got turned into a giant dopamine farm by a handful of companies who literally hired the same psychologists who design casino floor layouts, and the policy-makers just threw up their hands and said "guess we better ban kids from using the internet then"

social media that's bad for minors is obviously bad for adults too. crazy to me that the move seems to be to just accept that and ban minors rather than regulate the obvious design patterns that were put in there on purpose which make it harmful to its users

Sorry but hate presenting this as “ooh this is the scary future under reform” like this isn’t the Scary Present under Labour. This is not Reform’s Britain, this is Labour’s Britain. Its here its now and laying responsibility explicitly outside of the Actual Current Gov is a major mistake

You see these scenes from Belfast? That's our future if Reform, Restore, the Tories, GB News, Elon Musk and the right-wing media get their way. Except this will be on a much bigger scale. We have to decide: do we want those inciting hatred to destroy our country?

This'll have virtually no effect on trans women, who already weren't competing in the Olympics (in the more than 20 years in which trans women could participate in the Olympics, a grand total of... 1 actually made a team. She came in dead last in her event). However.... apnews.com/article/ioc-...

FOI reveals the EHRC holds zero minutes of meetings with trans-led organisations in the past 5 years. This is the UK’s 'equality' regulator. Trans voices are not important enough for the EHRC to keep a record of what was said. This should be a headline in all the papers.

Dear
Your Freedom of Information Request
FOI Reference: 15238932

Keir Starmer has got a nerve lecturing other parties on security when his government appears to have no qualms about making every aspect of the UK’s essential infrastructure more & more reliant on Trump-supporting tech firms that have clearly shown themselves hostile to liberal democracy.

The actor Michael Sheen used all his money to start a fake debt collecting business, buy 900 people in Wales's debt, and excused it. If Musk bought ALL $194 billion in medical debt in the U.S. and excused it in the same way, he'd still be the world's riches man by hundreds of billions of dollars.
