"don't make enough money" is a fig leaf All those degree programs--social work, art, etc.--have disproportionately female student bodies. This is designed to make it harder for women to attend college--college education being a key factor in women's autonomy from men & left-leaning voting pattern.

this boils down to "the pandemic didn't actually happen but they still closed the applebees" which frankly i think is a trauma response by a lot of people that buy it - lot easier to be in denial that things were that bad instead of reckoning with 1.3m dead people [in this country]

The best recruits for Schumer and the gang have universally been people someone with next to zero knowledge of the states' internal politics would choose (Cooper, Peltola, Brown, etc), almost every other recruit has been pretty terrible.
Kind of a false dichotomy electorally speaking, no? A (D)emocrat is what the primary electorate decides one is, not an ideology, whereas a DemSoc is adherent to an ideology. I think the question should be "Would you prefer a liberal or a democratic socialist"
