⚡️ Joe Kent says he, Tucker Carlson, Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie are hoping to build a new political movement or third party built around opposition to U.S. wars, AIPAC, and corporate money, with the initial goal of fielding a candidate for the 2028 presidential campaign.

In an interview with Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks, Kent said the group met at Carlson’s home in Maine after concluding that both major parties repeatedly deliver “another war in the Middle East” regardless of how Americans vote.

Kent said they may follow the 2028 presidential run with down-ballot races, and acknowledged ballot-access hurdles may force them to run an insurgent candidate through an existing party instead.

“We don’t want Israel dictating our foreign policy. We don’t want any more foreign wars. We don’t want to have to run a massive empire,” he said.

Kent said the group has urged Carlson to run but he has repeatedly declined. They will seek to finance the effort through grassroots donations rather than corporate PACs. “The second you start taking the corporate PAC money… you’re not truly in charge anyways.”

On JD Vance, Kent said he still personally likes him but called him “a captive of the two-party system” who will struggle to ask voters to trust him in 2028 after defending Trump’s war.

One of our TPUSA college students gave me his take on affordability:

“A burrito shouldn’t cost $20.”

Yeah, a lot of this is a hangover from Covid and Biden-era inflation, but the lived experience is the same: It just feels like basic things cost too much.

Last night, my wife made homemade burritos for our family of 8 and it cost less than $20 total for everyone.

Im beginning to think the affordability crisis is really an “I don’t know how to cook” crisis

Burritos don't cost $20 when you make them at home.

Cry me a river. The burritos in the college cafeteria are included in your meal plan.

I'm surprised to hear Mark say this. If you've ever met him in person, it's quite obvious the man has never missed a burrito.

Three years ago, the government passed a mandate stating sex should exclusively be shared between married couples with the exception of one night a year where pre-marital sex is legal and protection is required for 12 hours. All people get a tattoo at the age of 18 that is red when not able to have sex, but turns green when you are married or on the one night the mandate lifts. It blinks red if you go against the mandate (have sex anyway, have unprotected sex, etc.) and transmits your location to the law enforcement branch in charge of these crimes. There is a biological sensor inside that tracks dopamine and if your levels spike at the same time as someone you're physically near, it documents that as a sexual encounter. Masturbation is legal and it is implied that gay sex successfully operates outside of the mandate. There are multiple anti-mandate signs and events shown throughout the movie.

First, and most importantly, anti-data center folks refuse to believe data center developers and tech companies engage in good faith. They have staked out a purely reactionary position. Negotiation is useless. Just reject everything by default. They're playing this as Always Defect.

I find it frustrating, personally, when anti-data center organizers say that the job creation is a myth. Because I think that 500 six-figure jobs, for folks who go through apprenticeships but maybe don’t need college degrees, that last two to six years — that’s enough time to build a family, that’s enough time to buy a home. I think it’s supermeaningful. And when I talk to technicians, when I talk to workers, clearly it was extremely meaningful work.

One of the things that was the most surprising to me, when I talked to data center activists, was that they responded to so many of the pro arguments with: I don’t believe them.

So this company says that they are going to treat the water with chemicals in it so that it doesn’t flow into the lakes. People would say: I don’t believe them. I don’t think they can do it.
