In April, I joined my colleagues @councilorgreen.bsky.social and @councilormorillo.bsky.social and advocates from @portlandneighborswelcome.org to successfully lead the unanimous passage of the Inner Eastside for All resolution. If there was a word better than "honored" to express how I feel about earning earn Portland Neighbors Welcome's endorsement, I would use it here. They're fighting for a Portland that my kids (and all of us!) can actually afford to live in. I am honored to be in that fight with them.

@pnwpolicyangel.bsky.social is my current city councilor, and she earned my #1 rank 100x over with her championing of the IE4A resolution. That is among many, many other reasons to vote for her.

Since taking office, Councilor Angelita Morillo @pnwpolicyangel.bsky.social has turned our priorities into law. She championed the resolution to speed up and prioritize implementation of Inner Eastside for All, our top policy priority and shepherded it to a unanimous vote on council.

When the police were giving me the runaround instead of trying to find and cite the woman who HIT ME WITH HER CAR, the last cop I spoke with angrily told me “this is what you get in Portland.” I know that what he meant was “we do not give a shit about the community, we see you as a piggy bank.”

My friend was trapped in her apartment for an entire day because the building has one elevator and it broke down. It was wild. Anyboushback for accessibility though and developers say they’ll never build again. We have an aging population, we are all going to face mobility issues. It’s absurd.

We need elevator reform so urgently - we do not have enough accessible units for disabled people and seniors, especially in places with the transit, amenities, and infrastructure that help people stay independent and connected to their communities!

I just donated $100 to Councilor Morillo's reelection! She has been a true housing champion in office, and I am am very proud that she represents me on city council. I worked with her office earlier this year on the Inner Eastside for All resolution (passed unanimously baby!), and they are THE BEST!

I think Portland should be proud of the fact that Lloyd Center closed down. In the 30 years that Lloyd became increasingly unviable on the inside, our local makers and independent businesses have thrived on the outside and beat out big box capitalism. We did it guys! We killed a mall!

I relate to the interviewee who went from not riding a bike since childhood to doing everything on my ebike. It’s so much more fun to get around the city by bike, and it’s so much more convenient than stressing about parking. This PCEF program has such incredible potential to change lives.

unfathomable that the city is being asked to hand over four hundred million bucks with virtually no information on what the blazers are planning to spend it on - and that the loudest proponents of the deal are the councilors and business leaders who otherwise complain the city is poorly managed

I think it's really important that the public understand what the city's true commitment is because we keep saying and hearing $120M over 20 years, but it's really closer to $400 million. It makes sense for us to not pre-commit especially given that we're operating blind with no information.
