Obama: "I am old enough to remember when a president wearing a tan suit was a major national controversy. They were very upset. And I know I looked good in that suit."

This election is our last chance to at least rein in some of the foolishness of this Administration. We need real leadership with concrete plans to lower costs, make health care more affordable, make housing more affordable, and get utility bills under control.

All the British and Australians are in my notifications discussing the difference between cookies, biscuits, scones, and biscuits. This must be how my wife feels when we watch the Biscuit and/or Scone nights on The Great British Baking Show. 😂

Bill Clinton: "I think Congress made a mistake not protesting turning the Rose Garden into what looks like the entrance to Liberace's bathroom"

Even if one person *were* “uncomfortable,” the other people in the world are equally important. “I am uncomfortable” is not a lightning bolt you get to throw to stop other people from peaceably existing. Many people aren’t terribly comfortable using public bathrooms at all. They persevere.

Once again: Dude-hearsay is NOT EVIDENCE. They can make up any bull they want and attribute it to any girlfriend from Canada we don’t know. It is creepy to be interested in other people’s pants parts in a restroom no matter what gender, and the person being creeped on IS THE VICTIM.

Anonymized post from a small account rando:

That's great. What about the women that would be uncomfortable
sharing a restroom with a trans woman?
Because that's still most of the -extremely progressive- women I know.
(I don't know any MAGA women)

not that I don't think they're capable, but Democrats coming to power and immediately holding oligarchs and corporate power meaningfully accountable is a big assumption

"Screenshot of a post on X by user ALX (@alx) featuring a video clip of journalist Kara Swisher speaking into headphones during an interview on The Bulwark. The post text reads: "Kara Swisher says Elon Musk might be in jail right now if Kamala Harris was in office and 'he knows what’s coming' if Democrats take back power." Directly below, a reply from Elon Musk (@elonmusk) reads: "Message received".

Do they even understand how much they’re pissing people off by doing this. Whatever research that convinces them that spamming everyone is all upside is bullshit. It is like they’d rather have all my contact info to sell to other campaigns forever than receive my donation. It sucks.

I gave AOC a recurring donation and it’s a nightmare in my emails and texts and i don’t even know who half the candidates are

truly a wild time to be alive when the cryptography world is split between those worried about quantum computers and those whose private key is “4”

THEY ARE NOT POWERLESS TO STOP HIM! Go back to Washington, stand on the steps of the Capitol and demand Johnson and Thune recall the House and Senate, and impeach him. THIS IS HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO WORK! THERE IS LITERALLY AN INSTRUCTION MANUAL! (It's called the Constitution.)

Republican lawmakers are incensed about Trump's dismissal of Ukraine — and powerless to stop him. That frustration hit a new peak on Monday as they sought to address Trump’s decision to purchase Russian diesel, waive sanctions on Moscow, and potentially stop sharing intelligence with Ukraine.

David Axelrod and David Brooks clutching their pearls because El-Sayed didn’t roll over for a racist is such a perfect example of America’s white guy politics that it would sound made up if you put it in a novel
