He became president because humans lose their morals and perspective the *second* their emotions and biases get involved. Period.
All the "[awful person] has died but you're even worse for being happy about it" bullshit is the flip side of ~legitimate concerns~. The Establishment insists we have to tolerate and listen to hatred of marginalised people for existing but criticism of powerful monsters can *never* be acceptable.
