This is pretty well known, but the Australian flag Sam Neill wore on his uniform in Event Horizon was designed at his request to show the Union Jack replaced with the Aboriginal flag, because he hoped in the future this is how it would actually look. A proper fucken ally in every way, this bloke.

I see Ann Widdecombe has died. When she was Home Secretary I showed her round Drake Hall womens’s prison. There was a pregnant woman on a bed in the early stages of Labour and she asked the prison officers why she wasn’t handcuffed to the bed. That’s the kind of woman she was.

As a bus driver I consider traffic calming to be one of my ancillary duties. If I see a car coming down the road too fast, I will pull out in front of them anyway and make them slow down. A queue of cars behind my bus is like a comet's tail to me, a thing of beauty, and the longer the better.
