People on social media have built this whole narrative of Fetterman as this guy who is chomping at the bit to flip to Rs the second he can in order to fuck over Dems, but in actuality everything we've seen paints a picture of a miserable, mentally unwell man who absolutely fucking hates the job

DHS is now arguing that we cannot even put the names of ICE officers in our lawsuit against those officers. Their position is that, if a defendant works for DHS, they cannot be named in a lawsuit. Never seen anything like it.
Over the last decade, there were two hypotheses: H1: the political right genuinely cared about threats to speech from the left. H2: they were using campus speech wars to impose their values and silence dissent. Today, the answer is clear, but I can't find any of the H1 people admitting their error.

The historiography of this will be interesting because the Russian war against the west almost certainly started either in 2008 or 2014, whereas the West took until 2022 to get into gear. And we're not in a shooting war yet.
