The thing about me is, I do not have a rebellious heart. But even so, I choose to serve life. 💗

👋 Hi! I’m a climate scientist. I share good news about solutions, not so good news about how climate change is affecting us, and endless ideas of what we can do to build a better world together – because hope begins with action. Looking for more? I curate a climate feed and a ton of starter packs ⬇️

This is going to *very* important, and *very* hard. It’s not just turning the money spigot back on. The US private sector partners are gone, the local partners are gone, the infrastructure’s gone, the expertise has been scattered. It’s going to require a major, ground-up rebuild. Sign me up.

We need a strong political campaign to get the Democrats to fight hard to bring back USAID funding - which would save huge numbers of lives globally. (And I’d really like to be involved with that - if you’re working on this organizing or know someone who is, please let me know!)

reminder to my everyone to not admit to doing federal crimes (like illegal drugs, including drugs that states may have legalized) publicly online especially if you have any sort of involvement with the feds (not limited to: legal cases, investigations, employment, receiving benefits, etc.)

If you have Pick Me tendencies, please trust me as someone who has presented to literally 10000s of men: They are not thinking of you unless you're in the damn room and being forced to acknowledge you. Stop going to bat for the inclusion of men who literally never even consider you.

When I do prevention in men's spaces, they have never once asked me about the experiences of women, how XYZ impacts women, etc. When I do that same work with women, WHO ARE THE MOST LIKELY TO BE HARMED, there is always a handful of women saying "Men get abused, too!" or "What about men?"

THE POTION GARDENER features a nonbinary trans masc magic user in disguise who convinces a butch garden witch to brew them DIY hormone potions. Low stakes, trans joy, gender euphoria. Cozy fantasy romance, 140 pages. Kindle+: books2read.com/u/bo5aPa

Desperate to escape a messy romance, Florian Mulberry flees London: tipsy, panicked, and without a plan. It’s while hiding in a rural garden shed that he meets Kells, a potion witch, who agrees to shelter him in exchange for manual labor until he gets his life together. Leaving his pampered London existence to work on a secluded cottage farm is a shock, but Florian throws himself into it with passionate determination.

And it’s not just gardening he's passionate about. In no time, Florian falls head over heels for his skillful, hardworking mentor.

There’s just one problem. Florian is only disguised as a boy, and the enchantment hiding his real body is going to wear off. Florian’s main concern is how to explain himself when it happens. He's definitely not a girl, but he's not entirely a boy, either. With all the magic in Kells’ garden, there must be a way to achieve his ideal androgyny.

However he looks, Florian will have to face his past if he wants a future with Kells. Even if he avoids London forever, eventually his past is going to come looking for the girl he used to be.

The Potion Gardener is a low-stakes, low-angst cozy fantasy novella in the Flos Magicae series, a collection of queer romances set in an alternate 1920s world with magic. In honor of short books, if you wrote or read a trans novel or novella 300 pages or under, tell us about it and why we should read it! 🏳️‍⚧️ 📚

blue tsunami, maga influencers crying, pete hegseth getting fired, and now russell brand going to prison. if It happens soon, i honestly think im going to lose my mind

Everytime I hear “no political retribution” I think of our country blowing up fishing vessels in the Caribbean and then going back to kill the survivors. Until now, the republicans have owned that unspeakably evil behavior. If the democrats do nothing about it, they are collaborators.

Reminder that when you buy your stickers from Sticker Mule you’re directly contributing to fascism. Go with Sticker Ninja, StickerApp, Standout Stickers, you have so many other options, you just have to look. Don’t be lazy. “I didn’t know, I’m not very online” is no longer a valid excuse.

OPINION: "I am a finance professor, and one of the topics I research is how inflation affects retirees’ investment choices. And I believe the upcoming bump doesn’t capture the inflation challenges that many people who receive Social Security benefits face," Pankaj Agrrawal writes. buff.ly/GpRwfZx

My top line takeaway from the election is up: NOBODY HAS TO BE LEFT BEHIND. It turns out we DON’T have to sacrifice trans kids to win. We DON’T have to deport our neighbors. We DON’T have to support abusers with Nazi tattoos. We can just *have principles* and win. My latest in @thenation.com

Actually, Democrats Don’t Have to Sacrifice Trans People or Immigrants to Win

For two years, leading Democratic factions have insisted the party must abandon key populations to win. Tuesday proved them wrong.

The guy who allowed Wall Street and the real estate industry to go entirely unpunished and unregulated following a devastating industry crash created by unscrupulous practices and gave them *our* money to survive, thus setting the stage for them to go right back to it? Or literally anyone else?
