It's insane that after Trump spent 4 years taking money from foreign governments and letting his son in law negotiate for the US while also making personal deals worth billions with the same countries, it was Biden that the media saddled with a corruption scandal (with no evidence).

Call me crazy, but if a Democratic president had 350 accounts closed by their bank for money laundering it’d be more than a blip in the media

I know this would be closing the barn door after he horse has been reelected president, but if Democrats win both chambers I'd really like to see a concurrent resolution deeming January 6 an insurrection under 14(3). 1/

Yeah so NYT asked me ~2 yrs ago to write an op-ed about how the Colorado is running dry, & what we should do to keep this exact thing from happening. I said "There's only one real answer. Bill farmers by how much water they use. Duh." NYT editorial staff freaked tf out & cancelled the piece.

saw an article today about an az politician saying how great it was that we're now in emergency drought conditions because the farmers get automatic bailouts and I feel like way more Professional Rural Understanders just breeze by sentences like that. www.paysonroundup.com/news/arizona...

I don't think the main issue with the president taking a $400 million bribe from a foreign state is that his acceptance of the valuable gift in blatant violation of the Constitution was "rushed." But maybe that's just me.

New York Times top headline, July 25, 2026:
"Times Investigation: Inside the Rushed Effort to Get Trump His New Air Force One. A New York Times investigation found that President Trump's push to speed delivery of the aircraft led to ballooning costs and trade-offs in safety features."

95% of my communications from the Democratic Party look like this. I have never in my life signed up to be texted by a campaign or the party, and I spent fruitless months attempting to unsubscribe from these. These are functionally identical to scam texts.

Will Stancil is now engaging in this weird strategy where he delinks the post that is criticizing him, but then goes and quotes it too so that you can see he wants to continue the argument from a position of obvious cowardice.

Will Stancil now trying to argue with Kathryn Tewson about whether a $50k windfall would be life changing money - the post she is quoting is "removed by author" but Stancil is quoting Kathryn.

He's also arguing about what percentile income rather than thinking about the potential material benefits of the $50k, because he's a bloodless quant who cannot relate to human beings.

New at the Strength In Numbers Data Lab: How pollsters weight by party ID is influencing Democrats' midterm standing. Different methodologies give a margin anywhere between D+7 and D+10 (among registered voters — likely even higher among likely voters). www.gelliottmorris.com/p/2026-07-23...

Democrats' edge in midterms polling depends on how pollsters weight by party

What would our Strength In Numbers polling say if we weighted our samples by different targets for party identity?

there's a pretty good tweet that's something like "people think that under communism they'll be given a luxiourus stipend to make art no one likes, instead of being forcibly retrained as a dental hygienist and deployed to Bangor Maine to care for the elderly population there"

The problem with the MCU is that they're still trying to prop up their dead Avengers storyline instead of just ditching all of that and finally committing to a full-blown version of the X-Men universe. Something that gives me an Alpha Flight movie at the very least.
