I'm just gonna say: it somewhat baffles me that people who are understandably skeptical of opaque LLMs as legitimate sources of information will suddenly go full on "the computer KNOWS" when they are using opaque tools to "detect" AI. The computer does not know.

my favorite part of the new infowars is how tim heidecker gets continually more shirtless as the show progresses. peeling off layers until all that's left is a pile of loose viscera, to be eaten by the next heidecker to emerge it's so rare to see such a message of hope for Really Divorced Americans

Sometimes I feel like its a double standard that I play the worst games I can find and delight in their strangeness, but I meticulously tear apart games that I like or are from series that I like. It just feels so frustrating for a game to be 90% good only to end up fumbling it right at the end.

this goes for just about any platform you could think of, patreon twitch whatever, please do not do give money to creators through a platform's phone app unless it is literally the absolute only way you can do so. you pay more, the person you're trying to support gets less, it sucks for everyone

Very funny that I planned and booked a solo backpacking trip into a local national park and literally one day after my feeds have been non-stop "Bear attacks hikers!", "Hiker goes missing (5km from my campsite)", etc, etc. lol

an easy solution to not have substack's synthetic text detection (the accuracy of which I don't know anything but obviously these tools have a poor track record) tarnish your reputation is to not tarnish your reputation by using substack
