Cis bi white guy trying not to be as shitty as social media white guys tend to be. He/him, they/them. Pronouns are a normal part of speech. Politics, wrestling, amateur game dev and Linux reply guy. Trans rights, no kings, no war, no fascists.

If you show up to Bluesky without following anyone, you'll be treated to a series of posts about art, music, and dogs. If you show up to X without following anyone, you'll be bombarded with right-wing conspiracies and white supremacist slop. It's weird which one is seen as a "political bubble"

"don't make enough money" is a fig leaf All those degree programs--social work, art, etc.--have disproportionately female student bodies. This is designed to make it harder for women to attend college--college education being a key factor in women's autonomy from men & left-leaning voting pattern.

President Trump is banning students majoring in degrees that don’t make enough money from taking out college loans. Degrees for social work, art, religious studies, teaching aides, and music will be hit the hardest. trib.al/aaAEu6v

A gentle reminder before I fuck off to eat breakfast: The push to replace artists with AI is a fascist push. The devaluing of arts and humanities in favor of engineering and computers is a fascist push. Students being unable to read a book is, yep, a fascist push.

"Friday’s filing — signed by Trump loyalist and former Fox host Jeanine Pirro, now the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia — said that the Department of the Interior...provided false information, withheld exculpatory information, and repeatedly delayed sharing the whole truth with prosecutors

I'm kind of amazed that most reflecting-pool coverage seems to have missed just how hard Jeanine Pirro accused the Interior Department of covering up the truth. The details are jaw-dropping...

The year is 2001. I am taking an art class. Photoshop takes 2 minutes to start. The year is 2009. I am doing graphic design gig work. Photoshop takes 2 minutes to start. The year is 2026. I am creating thumbnails for youtube. Photoshop takes 2 minutes to start.

"Data centers bring jobs..." makes me laugh as spouse of IT person responsible for an international organization. Their data center is 2,000 miles away. EVERY THING is done remotely. There's nobody there. Nobody is making that daily commute.

One of my favorite things recently is James Carville FaceTiming into centrist festivals from his death bed with no recline to complain about any Democrat under the age of 60. Invariably his corpse winds up on Fox News. Master of communications right here.

James Carville zooming into Fox News from a throne to complain about David Hogg.
