People using someone's life as a political football are now saying his death shouldn't be used as a political football. Arday's death is political. It's one of the longest running polical ideologies in British politics. The one so much wealth is built on: anti Black racism.

It really is incredible how many people not in these categories refuse to believe the very basic fact that Starmer has been the worst Prime Minister for racial and LGBTI+ equality thus far this century. We're on race rioting every summer and outright trans eliminationism! It's fuckin grim, lads

Under a Binface government, anyone who doesn’t accept human-made climate change as fact will be sent back to school, from Year 1 right the way to A Levels, to see if anything goes in the second time round. #VoteBinface

RIP Sam Neill. A true Aussie (and Kiwi) icon. I’d imagine it’s lesser known to an international audience, but The Dish remains one of my favourite films of all time (despite it taking enormous liberties with the history it’s based on).

Poster for The Dish (2000). A sheep is standing on a TV playing the moon landing. The Parkes radio telescope is in the background.

Perhaps a silly question, but does Bluesky have *any* countermeasures against bots. So many ludicrous AI global news sites constantly reposting now well out-of-date stories about the ongoing Widdecombe murder investigation.

WOW -- Danish reporter *goes there* with Rutte "You sit next to Trump when he talks about conquering Greenland, lashes out at allies like Spain -- things it doesn't seem like the old Mark Rutte would approve of. Does this have any affect on your self-respect when you sit there and say nothing?"

New Lowe: the debasing of the murder of 16 children in the Dunblane Massacre by the far-right MP Rupert Lowe on the Joe Rogan show symbolises the moral disintegration of the media and politics. It’s not about truth or policy anymore it’s about outrage, clicks and cash In @heraldscotland.bsky.social

Comments by the leader of the hard-right Restore Britain party are disgusting, yet they also reveal very troubling truths about what has happened to…

General question, is it normal to report a prominent person’s death and then mention the suspicious circumstances hours later? Can’t think of anytime it’s happened before and it almost seems calculated to generate “nasty left” headlines.

I’m fairly confident as an IT professional that there is something seriously wrong with Google UK’s payment verification but there is literally nothing I can do to report this. Believe me, I’ve tried, and been routed to a completely irrelevant offshore support team. Enshittification really sucks.
