Sidebar: I attempted this one time, sort of. There's a GREAT comedy night in London called "An Evening of Unnecessary Detail" that I've performed in a few times, and once I did an 11-minute speed-run through the Summer Family Tree. I still have my slides, which gives an idea.

Surprised to find out that "world war 2" to refer to the sequel of the first world war predates numbered sequels for media by 18 years "world war II" was coined by Time in 1939 but not until 1957 do we get "Quatermass 2" (and numbering sequels wouldn't become popular until the 70s)

The important point to remember is NO SHE DOESN'T. What was published yesterday were guidelines for service providers. They impose NO obligations on individuals and are NOT the law. People want you to believe otherwise, to intimidate trans people. But they haven't yet criminalised their existence.

So a trans woman I know, almost 70, now has to use male toilets? Why? She had gender reassignment surgery in the 1980s and has been using women's toilets for 40 years. She has never been a threat to anyone. Will she be safe in men's toilets? Where's the law to protect her?
