I've listened to the Nixon tapes, I'm pretty lame. Winner of the Stephen Glass Award for Journalistic Excellence Runner of @playbypost.bsky.social

A huge part of You Can See Everything (though not explicitly stated) is how can you measure or understand the interiority of people who have zero introspection? Like literally how? It's not even "oh it's all selfish scamming", that would be so much easier to understand.

I am a Nathan Fielder superfan and have maintained that the guiding line of his creative work is his obsession with the horror and unreality of media, especially reality TV, and this just really really cements this lol.

Review of You Can See Everything: I was in a small theater at an unimportant showing and the moment it was done there was a ~15 minute discussion with all the other theater patrons, people disagreed entirely on what they just saw but also everyone was genuinely listening and respectful.

It's insane to me some people don't think Epstein was clearly running an espionage and political blackmail market racket considering everyone who openly ran cover for him in America has been increasingly rewarded years after his death by his disciples. www.dropsitenews.com/p/ashley-moo...

My teenage children, who have never set foot in NYC, go around saying "Help me, Mamdani!" whenever anything goes wrong and/or they can't figure out their homework, just to give everybody a sense of the scale of this man's presence in the culture lol

In practice it did, albeit not legally. The PLO made the catastrophic decision to sign onto a political process which did not have anything close to the minimum demands of the Palestinian national movement guaranteed and the West was never going to do anything to back-load those guarantees in.

These kinds of "stack-ranking" (forced-distribution) performance reviews were implemented at Microsoft many years ago to disastrous consequences. There was a huge loss in valuable, talented personnel, a dramatic drop in morale, and the company got rid of it in 2013.

Binning comes to HHS performance reviews... The normal scale is 1 (worst) 2 3 4 5 (best). OPM is now mandating only 1, 3, or 5. www.statnews.com/2026/10/16/f... 1/3

Abdul El-Sayed grew up in post 9/11 America as a teenager. He has endured a wild kind of permissible racism in those exact circumstances that were unique and pervasive. Yet this is probably the meanest thing anyone has ever said about him.

Imagine an Arab Pete Buttigieg: of the Midwest and
proud of it - but also perhaps because of it, quick to show you how smart and dexterous he is and why he deserved that Rhodes.

Since there's a lot of people new to Neera, just know that she views the rest of the world outside the US almost identically to Trump, just a resource to be exploited for domestic politics:

I don't think it's fair that we create our own domestic problems and then ask other nations to pay for it.
You see the adverse incentive problem here right? If we think we can make money off an incursion, we'll do it? that's a serious policy/messaging/moral problem for our foreign policy I think

We have a giant deficit. They have a lot of oil. Most Americans would choose not to engage in the world because of that deficit. If we want to continue to engage in the world, gestures like having oil rich countries partially pay us back doesn't seem crazy to me.
Do we prefer cuts to Head Start? Or WIC? Or Medicaid? Because we live in deficit politics, and that's what is happening and will be happening even more.
