Yeah well I grew up in a mushroom village, so I’m not really used to how you do things. We used big giant mushrooms as our houses. We used bioluminescent mushrooms as lamps. And we didn’t try to change the plan last second if the other person already made reservations I guess that’s normal here

FWIW, Meta was fully aware of how these glasses would primarily be used. The glasses were designed to erase consent, and that is why they exist. Anything that they do that suggests they want to ameliorate this use is an attempt to win the PR battle and manipulate public opinion.
Meta Desperately Trying to Ban Creeps Misusing Its AI "Pervert Glasses"
Meta is vowing to crack down on creeps misusing its Ray Ban smart glasses. Whether it will be enough to regain trust remains to be seen.

thunderstruck sounds like a song the gremlins from gremlins would make if you locked them in a Guitar Center
best part of being a Wife Guy is the specific joy you get when they print something nice about your wife in the big newspaper
What started as a joke became an 800-word screed about why Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau ought to see & JULIET before it closes. We like to have fun here on the theatre beat. Column @theglobeandmail.com: www.theglobeandmail.com/culture/stag...
Thank you Trent Reznor, that is an excellent daikon radish
last thing I'll say -- is that I think its understandable for Canadians to be angry and critique what they perceive as a lack of response from an American populace. understandable as it may be, from my years in Canada - what I don't accept is the premise that the Cdn population would be different
“Oh, did a sportsball happen?” I whisper smugly from my vantage point on a distant cliff, the sounds of celebration in the village far below just barely audible over the lonely wind whipping my tattered cloak

Draconian tech bans are a sham designed to punish kids for the sins of the adults who've ruined our world, whether online or off. It's high time we began policing them, not our children. www.irishtimes.com/life-style/p...

We already have ways of mitigating online harms – they are enshrined in laws we refuse to enact

My dad was a poet so I could never really join in when the other boys would argue about whose dad could beat up the other dads, but I was confident that my dad could make your dad feel seen in ways that would quietly devastate him.
Not sure who needs to hear this but admitting you're wrong doesn't kill you instantly
As the director of a historical video game preservation institution, and someone who has dedicated his entire adult life to this cause, this is accurate. We have attempted to work with the industry's trade organization to find a legal path forward, but they refuse to offer a meaningful alternative.
piracy is the only extant form of media preservation that exists in games right now, you might find it morally reprehensible but there is literally no other institution that will keep games alive in 25, 50 years' time

This dipshit is saying "God Bless the people of Ireland" while posting images of loyalist propaganda from those who really do not want to be considered "the people of Ireland."
I was in Belfast last week, where a local resident said the attacks were not about immigration, but racism. He knew white immigrants who took part in the attacks and Black Belfast-born residents who were attacked.
