ETSY WITCH EVANGELIST

Chronic reposter. Witchcraft truther. Actively summoning flames directly from hell (or store-bought is fine)

The most frustrating thing about this is from 2019-2022 MLS played single elimination playoffs, and that produced four straight absolute fucking banger postseasons, which culminated in the best MLS game ever played (2022 MLS Cup). And the power that be were like "nah fuck that."

New: MLS is planning another potential overhaul to its playoff system, one that could involve as many as 20 teams, feature a "double-elimination" component along with a mess of other changes. Nothing finalized yet. Full details from me on @us.theguardian.com: www.theguardian.com/football/202...

🧵You can't talk about Natalie Harp w/o talking about how strange she is. This isn't making fun of physique or bearing. It's about obsessive/creepy behavior. And it matters on policy. As a former Republican media consultant, I can tell you that this attack is astonishingly effective w/the public...

A photo of Donald Trump sitting at a desk with national flags on it, seemingly at a meeting in an office. His omnipresent aide, Natalie Harp, is sitting behind him, staring at him with an unnatural smile, her eyes shrouded with pupils not visible.

everyone is missing the boat on this harp thing fwiw. it's not an affair and she is not a nurse. it's way worse: she's elder abusing him. tale as old as time a psychotic weirdo striver has attached herself to an elderly dotard and is wormtonguing him. our american rasputin

"are texas christian nationalists forcing kids to read the bible to give them a thorough education in classical western letters or are they doing it to indoctrinate kids into their fascist death cult" seems like an easy question to answer

MEET THE PRESS: Do you support birthday cake? HAKEEM JEFFRIES: Look, I support blowing out candles, I support having streamers, I want party hats. We are focusing on hard-working middle class Americans having the birthday of their dreams.

This piece assumes that there is an overwhelming cultural consensus about going no-contact with conservative parents. There isn’t! There is, in fact, an entire media industrial complex dedicated to telling us that we are too mean to conservatives. A complex to which this piece is contributing!

The author decided to stay in contact with her conservative parents and that is fine! The problem is turning this singular anecdote into a half-baked take about Progressive Intolerance. No one thinks every queer person should ostracize their parents! This is not a view that needs refuting.

This has been a slowly metastasizing moral panic for years: Liberals, drunk on therapy-speak, are cutting off their parents over minor slights and miscommunications. There is little evidence of the underlying phenomenon and even less of the cause. Look at this egregiously thin nut graf.

Although exact figures are scarce, the number of people cutting off close kin — particularly children cutting off parents — appears to be rising. Some speculate that therapists offering a speciously easy solution to a seemingly untenable problem are to blame

Opinion: If a parent doesn't love you unconditionally and accept you without reservation because of your sexual orientation, it is up to them to fix their own shit on their own time. Also. Amputation often saves the life of the patient.

In @nytopinion.nytimes.com “Going no contact is a kind of amputation,” Celeste Marcus writes. “Not only would it be an awful way to treat my father; it would also deprive me and my future family of a connection to the ideas and tradition that made me who I am.”

In another sign of the ongoing deterioration of society I have now encountered two separate retail employees over the past few weeks who have asked me to wait while they went behind something and cried and then told me it’s because of what a previous customer had said to them

I’m glad Pitchfork gave the Tyga AI album a zero rating but it is pretty funny that they did it 20 years ago for that australian band Jet who didn’t have AI and were ostensibly trying their best
