Northern cod is *the* iconic symbol of total fisheries collapse due to overfishing (and other factors) *and* the iconic symbol of a complete failure to recover for decades afterwards. This is like announcing the complete recovery of bison on land.

i am in favor of destroying silicon valley, yes, in part because tech people are all junkie nazis but also because there is no escape - not on al gore's internet, not on teevee - from discourse (pro- and anti-) about the fucking stupid-ass data centers
