I saw Freak the Mighty last night at Seattle Rep. It's a new musical co-produced with the Cleveland Playhouse based on the book of the same name by Rodman Philbrick. I liked it! I cried twice. It has just a few performances left at the Rep if you want to see it this weekend.

the big thing i keep coming back to with this pablo/clippers story is how many people were desperate to believe a billionaire wasn’t doing something dubious — to the point it was seemingly negatively affecting their own actions and treatment of others. we gots a lot of work to do.

After years of testing, USDA has just approved releasing GMO American chestnut trees, potentially giving us the chance to bring back an iconic species destroyed in the early 20th century by an imported disease.
