This is the good explainer of the Iran war and the tariffs and .. pretty much everything else, this blundering pile of clodpoles in the Trump administration is doing:
The Cybertruck is just there to help explain the thinking behind this experiment.

I try not to post too much about American politics but, uhhh.... As a Canadian this affects us
i think right now he is genuinely fixated on adding new american territory as the brass ring, the thing they'll never be able to take away from his memory i also think he can't make it happen so as 2029 approaches we are going to more and more see a family annihilator presidency
We can be tricked by things that look and sound human. We can glom onto anything that seems to echo our emotions. That's a great survival strategy when you're forming a bond with a fellow subsistence predator in the wild that might benefit both parties, but not everything is a potential puppy dog.
The most absolutely massive flex from the state fair exhibit. This quilt is made of 40 years of prize ribbons from various categories at the New Mexico State Fair won by Carol St. Clair Johnson. She also won a prize for this quilt.
Once again from the top The best British television was shot on videotape with a budget of twelve cents and some lint because the writers, actors, directors, etc. all knew exactly what they were doing.
🇹🇭Nene Royal🇹🇭 doing Metallica's Master of Puppets. She's pretty damn good. Only 16 but you'd think she's a seasoned rock goddess with how confident she blasts through it. 🤘🤘🎸
As I sometimes say... English has a word for "child of a dead parent" but doesn't have a word for "parent of a dead child", because until very recently, that word was "parent".
I like to think about the ozone hole and acid rain situation in the 80s and how we don’t worry about those so much anymore because a lot of people worked really hard to fix them (as best they could)
I've been seeing a lot of "well I guess this is the way things are now" "ah another line of evidence that we are a fallen empire", attitude that I am begging people to shake off. There are people working their butts off to make things better. Please don't give up. Join us.
As a 43-year-old in 2026, a game I find myself playing pretty often is "am I being a middle-aged curmudgeon, or does this new thing *actually* suck?" It's a hard game sometimes!
The Star Trek transporter but every time you go through it you come out smoother and more numb as the AI sands off more and more of you in the pattern buffer
Google Maps caves to the whims of a mad king, MapQuest opened itself up for AI.... good thing I've got that trusted Rand McNally *drives into a building that wasn't there 22 years ago*
"we should rename Mar-a-Lago something funny, make Google display that" My brother in Christ, the Ontario legislature can declare Google's workers in Ontario to be unionized and assign their collective labour rights to whichever union will be most militant, think bigger
At least in Terminator, the humans all eventually agree letting Skynet kill everybody was bad
wizard: you only ever wanna go on a quest if it's about saving the queen thousands of bees in a suit of armor: yeah
no one who needs to be convinced to fight fascism has ever been convinced by his stupid poem Which left out gay people Because he wanted them to die
Downgrade a movie: Somethings Somewhere At Distinct Times
downgrade a movie: the medium short
I got the shot. I've been scheming and hoping the conditions would work out for this for two weeks!! 🪶
When y'all see the shot I think I just got, you'd best believe it's not AI
Fine, I'll call it Lake America on the condition that Trump and his entire cabinet walk into it until they're completely submerged and never come out
Think about Miss Piggy. She lost a best friend and now an ex-lover in matter of 24 hours.
like that's part of why people love the Tom Holland umbrella dance so much he put his entire ass into that BUT he's also having so much fun and there's a wink and a nod both Dolly and Curry knew how to laugh at themselves with the audience while never belittling themselves and that's incredible
I think another lesson to take from the loss of both Dolly and Tim Curry is that neither of them took themselves seriously but they took the work dead serious that's the most important thing pour all of yourself into the craft but have fun and don't get an ego.
If we really want to honor Tim Curry's memory, then we have to publish like 8 different obituaries, each with a different and entirely plausible cause of death.
For those keeping score, it's actually the *second* time in 2026 that the wrong person from Home Alone 2 died. RIP Tim Curry and Catherine O'Hara
