Inflation is growing worse, and the president is fixated on all the wrong things - building a ballroom, making himself immune from audits, and waging a war he started without a plan to end it. Where is the Republican plan to make life more affordable in America?
I’ve finally completed & made available a small series of my print “Our Fate is Tied To That of The Insects”. People kept asking for the one that is on exhibit. Get your native bee & pollinator propaganda now! minouette.etsy.com/listing/4512... #linocut #printmaking 🧵🧪 #nativeBees #pollinators
What a bullshit regulation 🤬 Yes let's have biased, uneducated, not-even-elected personnel deciding what science should be done. Peer review and trust are the very foundations of science. But I guess if you're not a scientist you might not understand those core concepts.
BREAKING: New proposed OMB regulation, applying to all federal grants, requiring grant reviews by senior political appointees and re-emphasizes that "peer review remains advisory and does not replace agency discretion". #standupforscience public-inspection.federalregister.gov/2026-10817.pdf
I didn't PLAN to paint a mural on my new studio walls.... but when you need major plumbing work in your newly renovated first house and then have to replace a bunch of drywall, why not have fun with the repaint? (Using my 30+ house paint samples for a Fibbonauci design 🤓)
I confess, I've been reveling in the viral #commencement #AI booing incidents. Nnedi Okorafor did NOT get booed when she mentioned AI. Her remarks at UIC/LAS are on YouTube, so I'm sharing them for all of us. Start at the 43:00 point here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=63_f...

I'm forcing myself to start sharing art again. I've been in a RUT with only rare, slight bumps in creativity, pretty much since January 2025 🥴 But I really want to get back to it and part of that is focusing more on art in general. To start, here's art I've been SLOWLY working on for 1yr+! #sciart
Reminder: LLMs have been around for a while. Many tech companies were actively using them internally for projects like coding and data analysis. OpenAI forced everyone's hand by releasing these tools to the general public without any plan/ethical analysis. Remember: This is human experimentation.
Sam pretends to inhabit this weird liminal space where he's both responsible for a problem and yet somehow an objective, ethical critic very have your cake and eat it too kind of shit
I was gonna hold off on releasing these shirts, BUT they are sick as hell & I wanted to show you. Imagine a world... in which Goth Girls Gardened... GASP! You're living in that world RIGHT NOW. Bring the Goth into Gardening at SquidFacts.net Designed by the amazing @seaofdoom.bsky.social
I actually think knowing when to cut your losses on a project is one of the most important skills of a successful researcher. Maybe more of an intuition than a skill... It's not easy but it's so critical to spending time and resources wisely. Not to imply that I'm actually good at this myself 🙈
Blog post: Just quit Quitting projects in science is hard, but we should be doing a lot more of it. open.substack.com/pub/arjunraj...
NEW: Epstein survivors release the most powerful PSA I have ever seen. Make this go viral so every member of the House of Representatives sees it.

I’m not wasting an ounce of energy on JD Vance’s recent statement about those guy’s being racist/sexist/etc. Those who WANT to know know what he is already. So when he is what he is, we don’t get surprised, additionally outraged or feel the need to talk about him more. We know. Onward. #NoKings
