We will not comply with the EHRC 'guidance', and neither should you. Take action for trans liberation.

i just don't think that's an appropriate way to talk to women
web.archive.org/web/20260108... Here's an archive link of the original business guidance in case the original goes missing. In pretty clear terms the original guidance used to say stuff like "obviously, so long as the changing rooms allow privacy, trans women should be permitted to use the womens"
The original guidance was as close as you can get to a common sense intergration and balancing of everyone's collective and individual rights to dignity and privacy. Which is why they had to get rid of it.
In 2011, the UK government response to antitrans provocations was "Don't be so bloody stupid".
BREAKING: Abdul El-Sayed just beat the Israeli lobby in Michigan.
“But I have such a history of doing the right thing!” yes, that’s why you have friends who care about you enough to give you the gift of feedback instead of just taking an unsteady breath and mentally crossing you off the list of people they trust
the funniest part of the atomic bomb discourse is it was started btw by a white canadian telling my japanese ass that she wished we'd been bombed more. which under normal circumstances would be considered violently racist but whatever.
People in Austin, with heat indexes over 100 nearly daily, will accuse homeless folks they see of being high and not even consider for a second that they could just be dehydrated or suffering from a heat illness. Esp. around the library, which is a city cooling center
It's telling that every homeless person, even sober, is automatically a sign of "the drug problem." But belligerently intoxicated tourists — a far worse danger to those of us living and working downtown — somehow never are.
I would kindly like Europeans to stop being bigoted towards all Africans, from North Africa to all the continent's regions, for being forced by Europe's own exploitation of their countries to flee to Europe for better conditions. Y'all wilding. Please never talk to an American about the KKK again.
allies literally do not understand shutting the fuck up you DO NOT have to be an active part of every conversation, you DO NOT have to have a take, you DO NOT need to make jokes about the people you're supporting. it's so fucking easy not to get dogpiled: just shut the fuck up
Communists for intellectual property rights has to be one of the funniest recurring archetypes online
a lot of people don't seem to know this so here's a PSA: never use your real name on the internet
"Police solve just 2% of all major crimes" "Arrests at End of Shifts to Rake In Overtime Pay $500,000 a year salaries "One-third of all Americans killed by strangers are killed by police "White nationalists pervade law enforcement 10,000 family dogs killed by police every year (DOJ: "epidemic")
Things that make you go huh 🤔 Chico spends 48.7% of it’s budget on the Police Department. By comparison, NYC spends 7.7%, Los Angeles 25.5% and Chicago comes in high at 37%.

More examples: "officers burned a dog alive for no reason, then laughed as the dog’s owners cried" "inmate died after [skin melted off]. His guards won’t be charged." "officers discussing who will kill dogs before they even arrive Laughing at not responding to 911 calls Planting drug felonies:
not kidding about this btw. the percentage of casualties that were actually soldiers was 0.1% in nagasaki and 3.9% in hiroshima. the vast majority of other 96% of casualties were women, children, and elderly. ntm many korean and chinese POW and abductees who we don't have solid numbers on.
i mean the crucial thing about the bombs is they literally did not kill a single war criminal and in fact gave the US the leverage to pardon all the actual war criminals. but yeah i'm sure killing thousands of civillians (many of whom were anti war) made anyone feel better.

Anyone who opposes the free movement of people is complicit in the ongoing climate genocides. All borders are violent, and in these conditions of climate genocide, all borders are fascist
I think this is both likely true and absolutely not in tension with LLMs as useful tools These things require skilled operation and the biggest problem with their release is that nobody had the time to actually figure out how to use them first to not torch normal people. sry @golikehellmachine.com
Suresh reports on his experience talking with hundreds of executives (and, more importantly, their subordinates) about what (if anything) AI is doing for business in an essay entitled "AI Mania Is Eviscerating Global Decisionmaking": hermit-tech.com/blog/ai-mani... 11/
if you're in the bay i recommend kabuki springs btw. actual heaven.

i've got a pitchfork and some torches if we wanna make it happen
It's one of those things which undermines a lot of the far right narratives about grooming gangs, because ultimately until very recently no one was taking *any* child sex offences seriously.
Yes. Until as late as 2000 the Chief inspector of schools in England was a guy who met his wife when he was her school teacher, and he gave a public speech- as chief inspector of schools joking(?) that teachers dating pupils 16-18 years old "could help their education"
The youngest person held at the ICE center in Texas called Dilley is two months old according to Julian Castro as I’m wrapping my radio stories up for deadline. Get your head around the fact that you live in a country that abducts, incarcerates, & tortures actual babies. That should revolt you.
It's just past the 20 year anniversary of the "Photoshop is an information time bomb waiting to go off, will 100% be abused" for Photoshop. www.npr.org/2006/08/08/5...

New from 404 Media: Google Earth has introduced an AI feature that lets anyone fabricate completely bullshit satellite images. In our own tests, we added a “bomb blast and crater” to an area of Los Angeles. This is a misinformation time bomb, will 100% be abused www.404media.co/google-earth...
at risk of being banned can someone just gank JKR and get it over with
there are anti-ai arguments i am sympathetic to, but copyright infringement will never be one of them. i havent spent my whole life torrenting movies and bypassing paywalls to suddenly decide that the concept of intellectual property is anything other than a regressive lever of institutional power
