Absolutely insane numbers from Eli Lilly this morning. 15 billion dollars in sales for tirzepatide alone, in just 90 days. Now on track to ~55-60 billion in sales for one drug. We need a different term than blockbuster drug. This is wild.

My grandfather had an unlocked satellite dish in the 90’s. 15 footer that had to pan tilt. I spent whole summers scanning the sky. I found the syndication feeds for TNG and DS9. The whole episode, then all the various promos. It felt like too much power. It was proto-streaming.

I grew up in a proper country, in which Gore Vidal had beef w everyone & Lillian Hellman sued Mary McCarthy for something MM said on the Dick Cavett Show ("every word she writes is a lie, including 'and' & 'the'"--honestly an all-timer of a burn). Srsly critics fighting is a sign of cultural health!
