For fucking years, people of every marginalization have yelled that a person is never just one kind of bigot. And now the Cofnas support letter, signed by notorious transphobes and sexual predators and eugenicists, proving their point once again. You'd think at some point people would listen.

Thesis: There is no cause so obviously vile and stupid that we can't find ~200 academics to sign a letter of support, provided we frame it as an "academic freedom" or "anti-censorship" campaign.

Saw a cis straight reviewer of Camp Miasma say he liked the movie but claimed Jane was being too “self-indlugent” and needs to make other things that are just their personal experience and I’m like… is this a critism you would apply to Christopher Nolan?

Sorry chatbot lovers but the waning of Boolean operators in most search functions on websites has made my life actively worse. You can't find anything, you can only have things suggested to you.

This is SO beautiful. I wept. Happy weep. The combination of the exquisite poetry AND the sublime reading itself... Oh my god. I really am just a PUDDLE right now. This woman should spend all of her time reading her partner's work aloud. Fuck, now it's a problem. I can't STOP. Happy, but still.

These marathons were one of his defining achievements. And the British media pretended there was no evidence they happened. That it was just something he 'claimed' to have done... Now try and tell me their hounding was about "getting to the truth" RIP Jason 😢 26/26

my 16yo got their gcse results today and did well enough to study their chosen subjects for a-level (maths, physics, chemistry) at their secondary school's 6th form they were particularly delighted when i told them that they'd done better than me when i did the equivalent exams 40 years ago!

One thing I wish people would realize is just how central JK Rowling is to the entire anti-trans ecosystem. Looking at a network node analysis of the top 200 anti-trans X accounts, she is the most central figure spanning both sides of the Atlantic from Republicans to Labour.

A network graph visualization on a dark background showing connections between various accounts. The central, highly connected node is labeled "J.K. Rowling," with lines radiating out to many other nodes color-coded by region (UK, US, etc.). A detail panel on the right displays stats for her account, including her role as "Author & commentator," an in-degree of 153, an out-degree of 84, and 14 million followers.A scatter plot graph on a dark background comparing accounts based on "followers (log)" on the x-axis and "in-degree" on the y-axis. The data points are color-coded by region. J.K. Rowling is highlighted as a major outlier in the top right corner, possessing the highest number of followers and the highest in-degree. Other labeled points lower on the graph include various politicians, individuals, and campaign organizations.

There seems to be a concerted effort right now to undermine the diagnosis/concept of ADHD and/or autism. It’s probably been going on for awhile, but I’ve really seen it take hold lately, and it’s really concerning. A lot of parallel to the undermining of gender identity and trans healthcare, too.
