Shatner. The thing that made Shatner click for me was in his book Leonard, a tribute to Nimoy. Nimoy was a method actor, he taught method acting, he wanted to understand and embody his characters. Shatner's acting is based purely on making *this* scene entertaining.

My dumbest hobby horse is that I'm convinced the "brussels sprouts were bred to taste better" story is essentially an urban legend that at best wildly exaggerates an underlying true story. It's very weakly sourced and all of the evidence I have found goes against it.
