NPR interviewed journalist Ron Brownstein this morning. The conversation was once again "Are progressive Democrats sabotaging the Democratic party?" He stated his concern that Republicans would be able to passably claim moderate Dems in swing districts share DSA's "radical" views.

As someone who has been tweeted about personally by Rowling. And who spends my whole life trying to fight the damage caused by the litigation she funds. I think, personally, I would be less harmed by you giving me an actual kick in the ribs than watching the new Harry Potter & trying to justify it.

As a new Harry Potter trailer makes the rounds, it bears repeating that there’s no way to watch this show without supporting J.K. Rowling’s bigotry and the structural violence she’s inflicting on the trans community.

Please do notice that only one of the authors listed is alive. Which tells me that the question is nothing but rationalization to allow oneself to support an author who's funding genocide. Because the line is: if you know an artist literally FUNDS human misery, DON'T SUPPORT THEIR WORK IN ANY WAY.

Bluesky's anti-dogpiling policy will inevitably used when some transphobe says something heinous, and then they'll ban every single trans person who not only replies but who even mentions it. They've literally already done this before, years ago.
