For those confused, the WAFCON three-way tiebreakers only take into account games with the teams in question. Malawi are topping the group on goals scored in matches against Nigeria and Zambia, because pts and GD are level. Explanation below ⬇️

I’ve been frantically doing tiebreaker calculus and I think this is correct — 3 teams on 6 would go to a mini league of H2H points (3 each), H2H goal difference (with current result Malawi +1, Zambia 0, Nigeria 0) then H2H goals for (with current result Nigeria 3, Zambia 2) #wafcon

Right now the only path for both Zambia and Malawi to advance involves a one-goal Zambia victory with a minimum score line of 3-2. Both teams would need to score one more. Not impossible!

GOP turnout in the VA Senate primary was abysmal. There were about 1/4 as many votes just in the 8th Congressional district Democratic primary (which was not expected to be close) as there were GOP votes statewide. Don Beyer alone got 1/3 the votes that the Republican senate nominee got statewide.
