Nuclear opinion: I don’t care if you use AI to write code,¹ but making a human review a change before an LLM is disrespectful. Why am I catching your bugs if a computer could have done it? It’s like asking to review code that doesn’t compile or pass CI. ¹ As long as you do it responsibly.

Something like facial recognition is potentially problematic because everyone has a face. But a license plate is something you consented into having on your vehicle expressly to make it more easily identifiable. I don’t think it’s Orwellian to more easily track it!

Views that a non-trivial number of people clearly have, but you very rarely/never see articulated or explicitly defended.
I'm just going to say it, I really don't like the "how do we make OSS sustainable" framing. OSS is already sustainable. The only thing not sustainable is users expecting a free lunch (support, LTS, bug fixes, ...). As a user, you are responsible for your OSS usage. Fork/patch if you need to.

None of the things people hate about AI are here: it is not trained on copyright information, it is not controlled by companies, it is not using a lot of resources, it is small and fun. It is also a genuinely interesting potential direction for research. And yet I have to keep blocking mad people.
