Today, I was joined by state and local officials in the Town of Coeymans and the Village of Ravena to tour areas damaged by this week’s historic flooding. I saw devastating storm damage at several sites, but I also saw the powerful resilience of these communities.

Toxic PFAS are poisoning our water & food—causing serious health impacts. That’s why my team & I worked tirelessly to help deliver $1.5 million for groundbreaking research happening in Worcester at @wpiedu.bsky.social where scientists are close to finding a way to eliminate these forever chemicals.
Yesterday, I had the honor of joining Worth Park District for the opening of the newly renovated Stahlak Park. Our community is fortunate to have access to these wonderful green spaces that help make our community grow.

In Congress, Lee Zeldin was part of the bipartisan PFAS Task Force. Now, he's rejecting science, dodging basic questions, and abandoning farmers whose lives have been destroyed by PFAS contamination. Kudos to Lisa Fletcher for refusing to let him change the subject and holding his feet to the fire.
The Forest Service is attempting to lease tens of thousands of acres of public lands in Routt County for oil and gas development, endangering critical wildlife habitats and watersheds. I’m fighting to stop it. 👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽 www.steamboatpilot.com/news/neguse-...

Happy National Parks and Recreation Month! As Oregonians, we know just how vital parks are to the overall well-being of our communities. They give families a spot to gather, promote healthy activity, and they strengthen the environment of the places we call home.
@rephuffman.bsky.social, I, and 70 House Democrats are demanding NPS clear its backlog of 1,400 grant approvals, which has delayed more than $360 million for projects that keep our parks safe and accessible during peak visitation and wildfire season. beyer.house.gov/news/documen...

Today, I kicked off my summer Affordability Tour with a stop at the Albany Children’s Environmental Center to highlight how the soon-to-be-introduced Affordable Drug Manufacturing Act will help families afford the care they need — particularly for conditions like asthma.
Today, SEEC's Building Resilient Housing Task Force Co-Chairs @congressmin.bsky.social & @repjohnnyo.bsky.social, with 37 colleagues, sent a letter to DOE Secretary Chris Wright opposing a recently proposed rule that will make it substantially harder to adopt new cost-saving, efficiency standards.
Great turnout at the Beargrass Creek Cleanup this weekend! Our water is one of Kentucky's most vital resources, and it's on all of us to protect it. Thanks as always to Kentucky Waterways Alliance for all you do for our commonwealth.
Donald Trump says vandals carved a 300 yard/900 foot gash into the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. There’s just one problem: No one can find it.
🚨CODE PURPLE ALERT 🚨 Due to smoke from the Canadian wildfires, Maryland is under a Code Purple Air Quality Alert. At-risk populations if possible, should limit outdoor activity, keep windows closed, and monitor local air quality updates to help protect your health.
Wildfire smoke is continuing to make the air unhealthy from Michigan to D.C. Older adults and people with certain health conditions should stay indoors when possible. And don’t forget to check on a friend or family member. We get through days like this by looking out for one another.
The climate crisis is fueling an onslaught of dirty air, and it's making our communities sick. As the first and only lung doctor in Congress, I know we can't separate climate policy from public health. The climate crisis is a public health emergency.
Wildfire Updates: Smoke Pushes Air Quality to Dangerous Levels for Millions
Dense smoke from Canadian wildfires is choking a vast stretch of the Northeast and Upper Midwest. Officials encouraged residents, including in New York, to stay indoors.

Air quality levels across NW Ohio are hazardous as Canadian wildfire smoke spreads across our region. Public health officials urge residents to stay indoors as much as possible, to avoid negative health effects. Please stay safe, and seek medical attention if coughing or shortness of breath persist.
Today, @nationalacademies.org released a landmark assessment that affirms more than a decade of peer-reviewed research validating attribution science. The evidence is overwhelming; climate change is driven by fossil fuel pollution & its impacts are accelerating toward more dangerous extremes.
My Wildlife Confiscations Act with Rep. Garbarino will codify the effort to rescue these whales, creating an actual program to place these animals with aquariums that can adequately care for them.
Here in our state, renewable energies are key to lowering energy bills. Attacks on clean energy projects will only increase costs for hardworking families. (1/2)

This Saturday marks the one-year anniversary of President Donald J. Trump & his Republican majority’s Big Ugly Bill, an unprecedented betrayal of the American people that has unleashed higher costs on millions of American families across the country.
American families shouldn’t have to choose between filling up the tank, keeping the lights on, or making ends meet. That’s why I introduced the Energy Bills Relief Act, to put consumers first, lower energy cost, and make affordable energy the priority.
🚨NY-12 will experience extreme heat this holiday weekend. 🚨 Use community resources, stay hydrated, and check on your neighbors.
I love fireworks as much as anyone. But this is reckless. Celebrating America should not come with a public health advisory telling people to stay indoors + wear N95 masks. There are safer ways to mark this milestone without putting people, wildlife, and the Potomac at risk.
The NPS will launch 850,000 fireworks in the middle of the night. (Last year, they launched 7,000) That will dump perchlorates and heavy metals into the Potomac River and cause the amount of soot and smoke particles to skyrocket (pardon), at great danger to any creature that breathes.
SEEC Building Resilient Housing Task Force's @congressmin.bsky.social & @repjohnnyo.bsky.social hosted a roundtable to highlight how building safer, more efficient, & more resilient homes is one of the clearest ways we can simultaneously lower costs, protect families, & confront the climate crisis.
Thanks to SEEC Building Resilient Housing Task Force leaders @congressmin.bsky.social & @repjohnnyo.bsky.social for supporting energy-efficient buildings. As our nation faces housing & energy affordability crises, now is precisely the wrong time to let cost-saving incentives like these expire.
