Proposition 1––which extends and expands Spokane Transit service for another 20 years––is a nail-biter. Yes: 31,153 (50.38%) No: 30,686 (49.62%) It needs 50% + 1 to pass.

Interesting to see the bus lane paint be a solid yellow line between the bus and the cars. In Seattle, we use intermittent full width red which inevitably fades away from the bus’s tires. imo, Bergamo’s paint makes it clear the bus lane is continuous and that cars can’t enter between red swaths

Today Bergamo's suburban e-BRT line started regular revenue service It mostly connects Bergamo's main station to a few large suburban municipalities and industrial areas to the south-west. It cost €84 M (including 15 artic buses) for some 30-ish km (70% in dedicated lanes) ebrt.atb.bergamo.it

Good morning. The past 42 hours have been something. Spokane Transit has been assisting with evacuations, from the VA Hospital to assisted living and retirement centers as recent as this AM. Multiple employees have lost their homes. I appreciate the thoughts and prayers for Spokane.

The Yale slip lane is now permanently closed, with Boren handling all I-5 traffic! We had a great time meeting the SDOT crew and can't wait to see the improvements this will bring for the L8! We'll head back down later today to share some more photos after everything is fully installed.

To my fellow Seattleites - Ballard Link is alive and well. I can assure you I’ve been a good patient. At my age, doctor’s orders are not just a recommendation. We’ve done every test and multiple studies and trust, I am healthy. As much as this frustrates me, process takes time. - XOXO, BLE

3 years ago when canvassing Denny Way, I don’t think anyone really thought this was possible (even me). It was eye opening hearing so many bus riders assume that cars and traffic were always gonna be more important than their mobility. A year ago they were right but now we have a new mayor!

ROUTE 8 and DENNY WAY: starting on Saturday, buses and cars merging onto Interstate 5 won’t compete for the same lane of Denny Way. To keep traffic flowing, people driving to I-5 south from eastbound Denny Way will turn right on Boren Ave and left on Howell St instead of using Yale Ave.

Honestly pretty surprised at this anti Jamie Pedersen mailer funded by Brian Heywood and Kemper Freeman. I would have assumed they’re more scared of the socialist!

A mailer titled “JAMIE PEDERSEN IS NOT WHO YOU THINK HE IS”.

The top funders of the mailer are Steve Gordon, Brian Heywood, and Kenner Holdings LLC

As a practical matter, placing all of the burden on events to provide security essentially eliminates any ability to create new events. The only organization that will be able to do events in Seattle is the Seafair group.
