The point of a political party is to get good things done. Not just to beat the other side. But you also can't win if you don't deliver the goods. So Democrats do have to be progressive if they want to A) win more elections and B) justify their existence by actually doing things that voters want.

Brain: “hey, good job drinking more water. You hit a whole gallon.” Skin: “feels nice. I might clear up some more.” Stomach: “fine by me. Helps me digest.” Bladder: “I fucking hate all of you. No one sleeps tonight. I’m gonna keep EVERYONE awake. No one asked me about this ‘more water’ shit.”

A 60 Minutes probe into Epstein's banking, with Wyden already interviewed, vanished right after Sharyn Alfonsi got pushed out under Bari Weiss. Same editor who stalled the CECOT migrant story until Stephen Miller got a say. CBS keeps calling it timing. Sure looks like a pattern.

60 Minutes Epstein Banking Story Vanished After CBS Ousted Sharyn Alfonsi, Dem Senator Reveals

Wyden revealed he was interviewed for the show in a Senate report alleging the country's largest banks turned “a blind eye” to Epstein's financial activity

It’s important to understand that when 1.2 million Americans are dying from a disease, any government action is excessive and tyrannical, but if a dozen trans women want to play soccer no government action can go far enough

There are more people who've parlayed middling athletic prospects into profitable careers decrying the inclusion of trans women in sports than there are trans women in sports.

Fifty is generous, too. The whole idea is for these things to run themselves. There was an article recently about how some are using those Boston dynamics robot dogs rather than hiring security guards. The troubleshooting is mostly automated, with the exception of the part swapping listed below.

many of the data centers need as few as 10-50 permanent workers. they aren't software engineers making apps/services. it's $60k/yr people who can check if a hard drive failed and swap it out and monitor if a cooling fan fails even the one-time construction jobs aren't local, they bring in outsiders

“Unnecessary care” “Ultimately unsuitable” Every industrialized nation in the world *except the US* has figured out a way to sustainably provide healthcare for its citizens. It is the business majors making healthcare decisions who are unnecessary. It is their jobs that are unsustainable.

United CEO Andrew Witty gave an address to the company today (leaked to me), telling employees "we guard against...unnecessary care" and that "There are very few people in the history of the U. S. healthcare industry who had a bigger positive effect on American healthcare than Brian [Thompson]."

You do not have to use AI for anything. Not because you're scared of it. Not because you hate investor capitalism. Not because it's a shunting mechanism for fascism. But because you genuinely believe in the import, accuracy, and craft of your own work.

just said this on another post but it bears repeating: the thing about continuing to give money to any jk rowling properties or the nyt is not that they’re shitty about trans people, which they are. it is that both of these entities MATERIALLY CONTRIBUTE to the legal challenges to trans rights
