So we’re about an hour into the official city sweep of the Pig’s Eye/Fish Hatchery encampment. A couple of entrances are barricaded with mostly wood pallets, which has prevented city workers from moving in machinery to clear the camp. This has allowed camp residents to move themselves out.

Infill urban housing/upzoning/walkability is by far the top answer to this question, and there isn't really a close second.

Policymakers need to be internalizing the costs of inaction/delay via escalation much earlier in the life cycle of infrastructure development, imo.

If you can afford to buy good quality tools—and that’s what work shoes are, whether for standing on your feet all day or walking long distances in rough terrain or mucking out barns or working a fishing boat deck—they will last longer and cost you less on many levels—aka opposite of a poverty tax.

Let’s work together to make a better future where AI is universally understood to mean Allosaurus Images.
