The math: Parking spaces in the US: 1-2B (estimates vary) Area per parking space: 250-350 square feet (includes drive aisles) Cars in the US: 300M Area per car: 833-2,333 square feet Average housing square footage per American: 741 (from the U.S. Energy Information Administration, 2020 data)

Just to put in perspective *how much of America* is taken up with parking, at the *low end*, this is ~9,000 square miles. That is the combined area of: Rhode Island Connecticut Delaware *OR* Grand Canyon NP Yellowstone NP Yosemite NP Everglades NP The high estimate is more than double that.

Heads up: Taylor Farms lettuce is sold under these brand names: Marketside (sold at Walmart) Earthbound Farm (owned by Taylor Farms) Cross Valley Farms (owned by US Foods) Private labels for Target, Whole Foods (365), and Amazon Fresh. AVOID ALL OF THEM

1. Fire all employees on week 1 of a Democratic administration. Everyone. No exceptions. 2. Start now to pull together state-based ICE People's Assemblies. Collect testimonies about impacts on your communities. Release reports by December 2028. 3. REPARATIONS for all ICE victims - $$ & citizenship

I’m interested in any political imagination for accountability. It has to be proactive & retroactive. It has to be spectacular. And, ideally, it would leave so many of them broke that it actually becomes a deterrent. Being poor is truly all they care about not because they don’t care about prison.

4. Televised hearings where all administrators must publicly testify. Any people who have professional licenses like lawyers etc... are stripped of their licenses. 5. Public memorials in every state that tell the story of what happened. Funding would come from the Federal government.

There should be a sport called Largeball. 100,000 people on a field, pushing and swarming about an enormous sphere towering over everything in the manner of ants. Certain people are crushed into paste beneath the sphere but that's largeball for you baby

“Loitering is not permitted in this area. Please proceed to a designated location. Thank you for your cooperation,” a surveillance machine tells a small cluster of National Guard members as they patrol the fenced off Reflecting Pool in the rain.

There's a hauntingly beautiful irony in these morons thinking that carefully crafted American hegemony was actually weak and woke, and they would be the ones who would do Power and Dominance properly, and immediately bringing everything crashing down

Women around the world recognize the lose-lose proposition here: emotionally immature men depend on women to keep them from making the worst possible choices and then demonize them for being killjoy nags. ThOSE who could stop this—Congress GOP—instinctively know this and won't take the hit.

His whole life, Trump has always had someone else around to bail him out of the messes he creates: his father, Allen Weisselberg, the "adults in the room" in his first term. Now all those protectors are gone and he is openly begging for someone to save him from his own folly.

It’s crystal clear now that Trump has lost control of this war. He badly misjudged Iran’s ability to retaliate. The region is on fire. 1/ I’m going to explain to you in this🧵what I’ve learned - in part from closed door briefings - about the four biggest current crises.

There are no red states, no blue states, only purple, from Idaho fuchsia to Vermont violet. And in every state there are children, non-citizens, and prisoners who can't vote. In every state where one candidate won, a bunch of people voted for the other candidate. And so forth.
