It’s me

I’m saddened to announce the passing of my work colleague, The Zodiac Killer. While we were often on opposing sides of the business, I always enjoyed his silly little scavenger hunts.

British Announcer When Messi Does Anything: "Look now at this minuscule Merlin, this prestidigitator of the pitch, marvel at his movements as he trips the light fantastic." American Announcer When Messi Does Anything: "Stay tuned after this, James Corden will be trying kimchi and making a face."

Oh these are fun. I’ve got one too: Your team blew $120 million on someone they insisted would be a star player and after he lost to the other team by double digits, the team made him coach so he can share all his expertise about how to win football games.

Since we are using football analogies:

It’s like joining a football team because it’s the only way to get on the field.

You put on the jersey, but you spend every day telling everyone the team is terrible, the coach is awful, and the organization deserves to lose.

Then, when it’s your turn to carry the ball, you expect those same teammates to block for you.

If you’re on the team, then be on the team. Push us to be better. Challenge us. Make us stronger. Every good team needs that. But don’t just use the team so you can get on the field. At some point, you’ve got to be willing to block for somebody else, help recruit new talent, and make the whole team better.

Because if the team loses, everybody loses.

I know the ratio on this is already ridiculous but I was still thinking about it when I got up this morning. We're not your resources. We're not your volunteers. You're the ones constantly asking for OUR money even though most of us have so little. We'll keep primarying anyone who doesn't get that

I say this with no ill will or animosity: if you hate the Democratic Party, then please don’t run for our nomination. Don’t use our resources. Don’t rely on our volunteers. Don’t use our infrastructure. Don’t ask Democrats to invest their time, money, and energy in your campaign.

Can somebody explain to me why the rule is "if you can't make rent, cut out the streaming apps, lattes, and avocado toasts" but it's never "if you can't afford your workers a living wage, cut out the mega-yachts, rockets, and spaceships."

detective: you're a sick son of a bitch, you know it? that bird was your friend of 10, 12 years and you drop a big fuckin boulder on him. wile e. coyote: i swear to god man i didn't think it was gonna work. it never works. oh god. detective: nevada's a death penalty state.

This is what the American World Cup should’ve been the whole time, a celebration of our diasporas, a chance for all these countries from around the world to feel at home here because there’s a bit of their home already here

Today, I signed an Executive Order temporarily repealing bedtimes in the City of New York so that kids of all ages can watch our team in the NBA Finals. As Mayor, you’re forced to make many difficult decisions. This was not one of them. Go Knicks.

Hasn't even been a year and Zohran's governance is having a massive impact on my family. Our daycare was able to open a 15-seat 3K program because of the 2,000 extra seats the admin funded. Everyone we know got in somewhere they wanted. This is gonna save us almost 50 grand.

My taxes are going to murder school children overseas and to let pardoned insurrectionist pedophiles get their hush money payoffs to victims, meanwhile, the papers of record want to let me know the real danger is the guy who taxes second homes in Manhattan to balance budgets and feed hungry kids.
