Punk-ass book jockey. Smol science writerer. Invisible ghost in the streets, visible ghost in the sheets. they/them

Just a reminder that: - this isn't for workplaces and if your work is trying to implement it scare them over discrimination claims - the onus is on the service provider, not the service user to comply - the code *itself* says enforcement of toilet facilities is unworkable and low priority

EHRC Code of Practice comes into effect today so remember to be an absolute pain in the arse to any service provider who is trying to actively enforce it.

it all just sort of makes sense, now, huh. all this shit was just generated by AI and he believed it all enough to parrot it on his podcast, and his fact checking team had to clean up after him this is a really massive blow to popular science. Everything is in question now. does he realize this?

a screenshot of hank green talking, with the caption at the bottom saying his fact checkers could not find a source that said cats groom themselves to make them less smelly so they can hunt bettertweet from @ProtonInspector, "Having watched Hank’s video yesterday, in hindsight it’s very funny that half the fact check banners are like “we don’t know what Hank is talking about”

i just finished that new Lego Hill House, Not Sane set and the walls continue upright, bricks meet neatly, floors are firm and doors sensibly shut just like it says in the little booklet thingy, but the minifigures that walk there walk alone? Has anyone else had this problem?

i've just finished the new Navidson House lego set but it has a room in it that isn't in the little booklet thing has anyone else had this?

the emotional crux of the illiad is a broken old man begging the man who killed his son to let him bury the body. the odyssey is more than anything about a mans failure to really come home after war, despite the fact he won

the illiad/odyssey are great because theyre history's first piece of anti-war art twisted by idiots into an uncritical endorsement of war

peak Darran moment in the office this morning: Designer talking to another editor: wasn't there a gangster called Baby Face? I don't know why I'm looking at you Darran like you'll know. Me: ......Baby Face Nelson, he was one of John Dillinger's gang. Designer: why do you KNOW THAT?
